Latil's Landing Restaurant at Houmas House Plantation and Gardens

Amazing. I have never had better. Chef Jeremy Langlois is a master. He elevates cajun/creole to a fine dining level while staying true to the traditions of the culture. By using the freshest ingrediants that I have ever experienced, he presents dishes that amaze the senses. Highly recommend both Houmas House restaurants. Will return again and again.

Food and service were good. Grounds around the restaurant are beautiful. Good spot for a romantic , quiet dinner.

Delicious food. Service is great but food does take some time to come out. Be ready to spend 2 hrs min for dinner.

Everything was top notch at Latil's Landing! Dining in a 1770's plantation was a unique experience. The food and presentation was exquisite ! Our server was knowledgeable of every dish and knew everything about each course of wine that was served. After dinner we walked around the beautiful gardens that were all lit up for the evening. Highly recommend!

Food was superb! Service was just out of sync this evening. We typically love everything about our experience dining here, but this evening the entrees and the wine pairing were a little rushed. Many of the courses arrived cold. It was a busy night, and we were a group of 6. We will be back- perhaps with only a party of 2, but this experience was not up to par for the cost of a meal there for 6 people.

We had a table for 4 and it was a very nice experience upstairs in the addition off the dogtrot to the Plantation home! Service I thought we be a problem in the unique location but it was superb! A true 5 course meal takes some time with wines to compliment each course so the supper does last around three hours but as it turned out it was perfect to spread it out because each course was great! Wine pairing nice also! We all loved the experience and the time we had! Thanks to the staff for a great evening!

Amazing food, amazing service, amazing atmosphere. We love coming here and the fixed menus are always a surprise and they never disappoint. Definitely some place we save for the special occasions a few times a year but it's such a cool place.

My husband and I have eaten at Latil's before for our 35th anniversary and loved everything! We decided to celebrate our 60th birthday there this past weekend and were disappointed. The service was amazing and we liked the wine pairings with our food, but the lamb chops in the entree were very overdone, dry and hard to cut. We expected better for the price we paid. We informed the staff including the chef and all we received was an apology. Unfortunately we will probably seek another restaurant to do our fine dining in the future.

I want to start by saying that the food and service was good. The atmosphere was excellent although the music was a tad loud. I feel like calling the experience "fine dining" is a stretch though. The table setting wasn't properly spaced or set for fine dining. The waiter was friendly and had a great personality but talked too much and too fast. The uniforms for wait staff and hostess were also a little sloppy for an experience billed as fine dining. The appetizer had good flavor, but by the time it reached our table, it was cold and the pastry crust was soggy on the bottom. The soup course arrived at the table cold and completely lacked flavor. A little shake of salt helped a bit, but not enough to redeem the dish. The four remaining courses were all on point with excellent flavor, temperature, and presentation. Overall, it was a good meal and with a little tweaking could be a true fine dining experience.

Outstanding food, service and atmosphere. Extra bonus of seeing the beautiful grounds lit up for Christmas.

Exactly what our office girls needed! From strolling around the grounds to the exceptional service from our server (Jacob, I believe was his name) and the chef's touch on our food... A++!

The food and service were excellent. The atmosphere was superior. I could not have asked for a better experience. My only compliant is the flies that swarmed during our dinner, but I guess that is part of the ambiance of a nostalgic plantation.

Latil's was a lovely, peaceful, delicious experience. We chose the wine pairing along with the menu. Everything was delicious, and I highly recommend the wine pairings -- they were inspired and unusual. The ambience is . . . to be eating delicious food in a room from the 1700's, on a beautiful site....is just amazing.

Outstanding 5 course menu with wine pairing. Josh, our server did an excellent job of explaining each wine he selected along with the dish served. Overall a great experience and we would recommend to anyone looking for a romantic evening.

Phyllis and Josh were amazing. Perfect timing on our plates and courses. I was introduced by Josh to a few wineries I was unfamiliar with it and elevated the whole experience. Dimming the inside lights to join the sunset was a wonderful and greatly appreciated touch accenting the indisputable attention to detail. Thanks to all of the staff for making a wonderful birthday experience.
