Me and my boyfriend celebrated our one year anniversary here . It was a great experience for us . The food service and attendance was perfect!

The owner needs to learn that everyone doesn’t like dogs like him. We ate there Friday night and one of his dogs came to our table and put his head on the table next to my brother in law. We had to call the waiter which in turn called the owner to come and get his dog. Otherwise everything was good just don’t like going out to eat and have a dog sharing my table.

The plantation itself is stunning! The garden is beautiful with lots of artistic surprises along the path. The gift shop has many options and is organized well. The restaurant is open and well decorated. Food choices were appealing with local flair and flavorful. Staff seemed shorthanded but considering the lack of patrons should have been sufficient but service was slow. Besides the initial water and choice of cocktail there were no refills from the bar only water. This was a business meeting and considering its one of the few/only places open on Mondays it was our choice. I would not return on a weekday, perhaps the weekend is better staffed.

It only is the Carriage House restaurant great food, it is a beautiful place. From the gift shop through the grounds, it is beautiful in every aspect. Kevin Kelly has done a wonderful job with this resort.

The food was good, warm, and the portions were fair. The service was terrible. We were expecting a nice dinner for my birthday. Ordered a round of drinks starters came quick then our server disappeared. Took some time for him him to come back to order our entree with only 3 tables In the place. Once our food was delivered we never saw him again. A beer was ordered at the table before the food was which was never delivered and then with no one coming back to check on us we were not able to order any more drinks with our dinner. I was going to order a glass of wine with my food. At the end we asked Jayden if they did. Anything for birthdays and he said “like a discount?” 🙄
I then thought he said they do offer a birthday dessert but I am not sure. Not even a happy birthday or I am sorry. For a more expensive place to eat you are buying an experience as well and to have this kind of treatment for dinner was extremely disappointing.

Our meal at the Carriage House was fabulous. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful, and the wait staff were kind and accommodating. I highly recommend this restaurant and stop by the Turtle Bar after for an after-dinner drink. We will definitely be returning there!

Husband and I were on a date and this was our first time at this restaurant. Unfortunately the noise in the restaurant was too loud for us. And the tables were too close together....we felt like we were in a high school cafeteria. Not an atmosphere to enjoy a nice meal on a date for us. The food and server was excellent.

The grounds are beautiful! The walk to the restaurant was part of the experience. We ordered a cocktail and it was very flat. They do bring warm bread that was very good! I had the shrimp poboy and my husband had the shrimp pasta. Both were very good but maybe overpriced for the portion size. Our server was great and overall we had a very nice experience. I would recommend for a seasonal dinner date for sure
