For our anniversary, my husband and I had lunch at the Dixie Cafe and attended a tour of the home. Suzanna was our guide for the home tour, and she was great. We ended our day traversing the grounds and really enjoyed taking the bridge across River Road to the river. Great day and highly recommend.

It is the most beautiful home you will ever see. And the food is superb. Authentic plantation recipes.

If you like Antebellum homes .Then this is a Must -See !plain and simple. The tour-guides are so very informative and helpful when asked about anything related to the house and how people lived during the times when ,”Cotton Was KING “! ( Sugar-Cane too)!!

Very cool place. Off the beaten path. Friendly staff and great selection of bourbons and other libations. A must visit if you're visiting the Houma area or at The Carriage House.

We went for a quick beer here while passing through. The bartenders were great, very friendly and gave some useful information. Solid selection of beverages and great atmosphere. Wish we could have stayed longer.

No it doesn’t look like a bar at all. We actually had to walk around thirsty like two turtles for water.Once inside it was a mixture of old world and modern age coming together in that classy elegant style. Lots of antiques and the bar actually entends into a sitting area with chess boards and a dining area. The bartender was awesome with a good quip and answered all our questions in reference to what they served. With plenty of seating outside we were able to just sip and enjoy the view. Definitely a great place for some local style drinks mixed and poured quickly.

Our overall experience here was fantastic. The drinks were superior to any other bar we've been to. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about different kinds of alcohol and their origins. The experience alone was worth 5 stars being in a historical building let alone a gorgeous plantation and gardens. Well worth the visit.

One of my favorite bars to sit down and enjoy a great cocktail. Knowledgeable bar tenders can make most cocktails and also have a very large selection of spirits.
