We got kicked out of a restaurant after ordering and sitting down to eat because they said it was “to-go only.” No signs, no warning. We had to eat outside in the heat. Terrible customer experience.

Mami’s Mexican in Denham Springs is the kind of place where you sit down hungry and leave wondering if you just had the best meal of your week—or your life. The chips are fresh, the salsa’s got just enough kick to make you feel alive, and everything that comes out of the kitchen looks (and smells) like it was made with love and maybe a little bit of magic.
The service? Fast and friendly, like they’ve known you forever—even if it’s your first time. It’s the kind of spot where your drink never hits empty, your plate arrives hot, and someone checks on you just often enough to feel cared for without being chased.
Whether it’s taco Tuesday, fajita Friday, or “I just need queso and peace” day—Mami’s always delivers. Five stars for flavor, hospitality, and that feeling of “I need to come back here real soon.” 🌮💃

If it was any more authentic you would have to speak spanish to order!🤣 tucked away behind sliders, it's a hidden gem! Peaceful, comfortable, excellent food! I see myself eating a lot more mexican! Feels like Home...

I’m not a big fan of Mexican food only because the spices hurt my stomach, but sometimes, you just need a little Mexican food in your life. The food is probably a solid 5-star for people who love it. It was a solid 4.5 star for me. The tamales are soft and fresh, the tacos are stuffed with meat, the enchiladas taste authentic, the black beans are phenomenal, and the street corn is SO GOOD. The service was FAST and very friendly. I’ve already recommended this place to others, and I’m still sitting in the restaurant!

Just have to take a second to rave about Mami’s. I’m sure we all know their food is delicious, but what I was most impressed with was this salmon salad. A Mexican restaurant maybe isn’t normally a first choice when you’re on a specific diet, however I was invited the other day to lunch here. Normally I would not expect a super spectacular “light” option, but boy, this salad was so good I’ve been craving it again since I left. The salmon was so flavorful, it was absolutely loaded with avocados (my favorite, and lots of places are stingy with avocados) and the cilantro lime dressing was so good!!

The food is not appetizing. The service is slow & they charge you when you use your debit card by a lot then, you pay for your food, taxes, & tip. GTFOH! 1st & last time.
