I was super impressed with the staff when I got my coffee the other day it was super packed but everyone was super friendly and kind and every helpful! I LOVED MY COOKIE AS WELL.

I was there for 40 mins waiting for my drinks and they were so focused about closing and getting out instead of getting my drinks. It was handled really unprofessionally. My wife and I were there after everyone else left and they finally asked “what are yall waiting on?” In my opinion, she asked with an unpolite tone. We explained we ordered two drinks about 30 mins prior and hadn’t received them. My sister was in the parade, so unfortunately i had to go. Just really disappointed with the way this was handled. I want to leave this review, not out of mal intent; but so maybe this will not happen for other customers.

A hidden gem. We arrived mid afternoon and had the last cookies: excellent. And coffee: very good. Not crowded at all but a good vibe in the place.

I called in the ham and Swiss, add egg, on a croissant and picked it up at 20 minutes. The amount of ham was a bit light, but it was tasty. I would pay extra for more ham and I’m glad I added an egg for extra protein. I highly recommend it!

We went for Gilmore Girls trivia night and they did a great job serving a HUGE group in a timely manner, trivia was so fun, and the drinks were so tasty. Great atmosphere!

The Whistle Stop is such a gem in Denham Springs. The coffee is always good, and their hot press sandwiches are absolutely delicious. It has that welcoming, hometown café vibe that’s rare to find these days... relaxing, comfortable, and the kind of place you’ll want to linger. The new owners have done a wonderful job updating the space, making it look charming both inside and out. Whether you’re stopping in for a quick coffee or sitting down for a sandwich, this is definitely a spot worth visiting. Highly recommend!

This place is amazing! The new owners are lovely, just like all of the staff. I was helped by Joe who even recognized me from being here previously. I would definitely recommend the chicken crunch sandwich!!!

We ordered 5 meals today for lunch, from Whistlestop. GREAT food, GREAT desserts, GREAT service! Best gumbo in town! It shows too as they were busy busy. LOVE this charming place in downtown DS! 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ALWAYS an excellent choice.

It was a nice experience to just sit by the tracks on the verandah. Bite into the sandwich, sip on the beverage and watch a goods train go by.

This is a quaint little place with delicious food, deserts and coffee drinks. I love the salads and sandwhiches and specialty coffee. My favorite things to eat there are the muffuletta, no cheese, because I’m non dairy. And the salad with raspberry vinaigrette and grilled chicken. My coffee order changes regularly because they offer a large variety of syrups and I get a no- dairy drink with no problem. ‘They also have the sugar- free syrups and decaf. - they are under new ownership, but we are all assured that the menu will not change. - I like to support small businesses and will continue to support this restaurant.— oh yes, and the cake balls and other deserts are divine!
