Xalapeno's Authentic Mexican Grill

We were seated promptly and the service was great. Staff was very nice. Food was outstanding! Best refried beans we ever had! I had tacos & my husband had enchiladas suizas. The frozen margaritas were excellent as well! 5 out of 5 stars!!

So in fairness my waitress did tell us she was new, and she was really sweet. I ordered the $24 steak meal and said I wanted it medium. She told me it only came in one size. When I received it I understand the confusion as it was paper thin. I also was waiting to use the joke from Coming To America. Taste the soup! where's the spoon? Ahaa. The atmosphere is in translation from Papis and looks substandard but I'm sure that will change. The salsa seems to be taco bell sauce and pace picante mixed. Fix this. Flavor was fair, Service was good, and value is average. The Bahama Mama is an excellent drink ?

The food is well-presented. It’s very pretty to look at, for sure. This is the seafood soup with avocados and rice. I had the queso and chips. Everything was pretty good. Our server was very nice and the cook came out of the kitchen so we could ask him for a special request.

We were there on a Thursday afternoon. It wasn't busy. Our server, Jackie was attentive and quick with a tasty substitution on my entree order. The entire meal was delicious. We left with dessert to go and full tummies.

Still being renovated but the place is looking great. Appetizers came out quick, hot, and delicious. The family loves salsa so we had quite a bit of it and chips lol. Tamales were excellent along with their taco salads. Didn't get a margarita this time but will have to get one next time we go.

This was our second time here since the ownership change. Excellent service and food! The manager Jackie was beyond excellent . She came around to check on us and told us about all the new changes that they have made and exciting things to come! We had the Mexican pizza and the Chihuahua Fajitas!

*i appreciate the offer from management but i likely won't be back. Hopefully, the entrees will improve for future customers, tho, best wishes.*Pros: the plain, house, frozen margarita was really good. $7.99 for a small. Chips and salsa were good, too.Cons: i ordered a bistec mexicano. Traditionally, it is a T-bone steak that you cut up yourself. This was brought out as diced steak already on the cast iron skillet. If I'd known that, i would've ordered something else. Also, i noticed on the bill that a bistec ranchero was listed, instead of the bistec Mexicano. My husband ordered mixed fajitas and they were a joke. What he got was an Onion platter with a little bit of meat for $23.00, very disappointed. Literally, 3 strips of steak, 3 strips of chicken and 3 shrimps. I also ordered a side of Chiles toreados that i thought was a little expensive, $4.99. The large cheese dip was $9.99. All in all, the food wasn't bad but the things mentioned above are why we won't be back.Also, it looks like they are in the middle of some remodeling. They had unfinished construction throughout. They had a nice patio and the weather was nice for sitting outside. The outdoor tables are falling apart tho. The table top was wobbly and it wasn't the base of the table that made it wobbly, it was the top itself. If you wanted to eat with your elbows on the table or just lean on the table to listen to the live band, the corner of the table sagged so much it felt like it would break. Some sturdier tables outdoors would be nice.They are also in the middle of landscaping for the outdoors.

We ordered Al La carte got a chicken quesidilla Mexican rice and one chicken enchilada with queso on top…. Everything was AMAZING! Food was great, service was great, (Jade took good care of us!) good atmosphere, we will be back!

I love mexican food so my husband and I decided to try this place out Saturday. We tried to call in our order but there was no answer. We were like "Wow, they must be busy which means the food must be good" so we decided to go and place a to-go order. When we pulled up, the parking lot was empty and no one was there besides employees. It took a minute to be greeted but the waitress was very nice. We ordered the Chili Relleno with steak and a mixed fajita platter for 2, which came out to $69. When we got home, we realized we had 80% onions and peppers and very little meat, a few spoons of guacamole, sour cream a sprinkle of pico de gallo, a few shreds of lettuce and tons of rice and beans. We were able to make 4 fajitas total (2 each) and now we're left with basically vegetable fajitas. The Chili Relleno was good but also had very little meat, which we paid extra for, and the chips are hard and taste like prepackaged chips and did not taste authentic at all. So unless you're okay with spending lots of money and getting very little meat with tons of rice and beans, I would definitely NOT RECOMMEND this place!

Was excited to try this place! We have watched the turnaround and decided to give it a try! I wish we wouldn't have! The chips were hard ( taste like out-the-bag chips) the stuffed jalapeno peppers were overcooked And of poor quality! Then to top it off my Mexican pizza and tacos taste like dog food! The lady told me she's not sure why because the meat was made this morning, take I'm mind were having dinner at 5:30! My husband didn't even eat his dinner it was so nasty! Wasted 20$ just going to waste! And to think we still paid 40!!! Never going back and will spread the word!!!! So disappointed!

Love Xalapeno's! So much better than Papi's! The food is amazing and they recently renovated and it looks so fresh and clean.

I love this new restaurant! Since they changed ownership the food quality and service is so much better! I def recommend a margarita!
