Great friendly food and service. I hate it that it’s 2 hours from home. Seafood platter is awesome. My wife and I could not eat it all . Good price /value .

Met friends here based on their recommendation. It turned out to be solid. The food was good and the service was outstanding. We loved how friendly, welcoming and attentive the staff are here. We will be back and will be recommending.

We stopped for lunch and there was a fair amount of customers. We were seated immediately and the server came to the table quickly. The food had a decent flavor but is overpriced for lunch. We got the blackened speckled trout daily special with herbed potatoes. Good flavor. The seafood salad was also good and they offer homemade dressings as part of the selection of salad dressings. Overall the food and service are good.

The crowds of people told us everything. Every table was filled and there was a waiting line. We were only two and they seated us immediately since the other people waiting were four or more. In short, the service was spectacular, prices were reasonable, and the food delicious. Mostly fried, but I had the fried crawfish tales and couldn't finish eating all the food they brought. My wife loves catfish and she moaned with every bite. They open at 11 AM for lunch and are open until 9 PM most days. You can't go wrong at this place.

I had not be to Spahr's since I was a child. I am now 60. We went to Spahr's because it was a half way meeting point for some relatives. SO GLAD we went! The food is absolutely incredile They service great. It is well off the beaten path from New Orleans, but it is worth the 30 min drive. It is true Louisiana food, not like a lot of the tourist traps here in the city. I have been back 2 times in a month.

Stopped here for a Bloody Mary on our way back to NOLA. Tiffany, at Spahrs in Thibodeau, suggested we stop to see the view of the bayou out back. We were just going to order our drinks and slip out side to look around, instead Mrs C, the front house manager, introduced herself and treated us as if we were her most important customers! She told us about the history of the restaurant and took us out back to show us the bayou. It was a beautiful evening! She loves her employer, her employees, and her customers! We learned that about her in the short 30 min we spent at the restaurant! She even asked one of the kitchen personnel to come out and feed one of the alligators in the bayou for our enjoyment! Thankful for our encounters with the personnel at Spahrs!!

Awesome food and service. Our server went above and beyond telling us about food options. Catfish was excellent, as well as seafood platter. Service was quick as well. They brought out an alligator head to show my 3 yr old granddaughter and tried to get the gator in the water behind restuarant to come closer. One of best meals ever.

Great food & great staff. Everyone loved their food. I had catfish which I don't always like but this was the best I have had. They also have multiple choices for side dishes which were all good. The staff made our visit so much fun. They took us outside to see the alligators but they weren't there so they tried to call & feed them until one showed up. When we couldn't find any at first the server brought over a head to show us. She also told us about her life in the area. She was very attentive. If your in the area it's a must stop.

We stopped for a late lunch on our way back from Grand Isle. Service was excellent, food was delicious, with a good menu variety. Everyone enjoyed their meal.

Been to the restaurant twice on October 22 and 26. Twice delighted! Greeted upon arrival by the manager Miss Conjetta. The heart and soul of Spahrs. She is knowledgeable as she is gracious. The first night she offered us a tasting of thats night soup special "crawfish totrtilla soup". Oh my god, so yummy - thick and eveything you want in a southern soup. Soup is a an incorrect term, more like a cross between bisque and stew. Loaded with crawfisf, shrimp, potato, and topped with crunchy totilla strips. Our server both times was Brittany R. - she was a true delight. The food is hot and fresh. Our second visit had us trying the soft shell parmesan garlic crab. Love it ! A wonderful taste and garlic lovers dream. The soup that night was jalepeno crawfish - another excellent choice. Not at all I that spicy hot you would think. Just yummy! If your in the Des Allemandes area its definitely worth a stop. You won't be sorry. Signing off as new friends from Maine and New York

This restaurant was recommended by Clyde from 2 Da Swamp Tours. We were with a moderate size group. Everyone enjoyed their meal. We ordered po boys, oysters, gumbo, crab cakes, and fried green tomatoes. There was an outdoor seating area out back (great for Covid-19 distancing) with a nice view to the bayou. The service we receive from several of the staff was also top notch. All staff were wearing masks which is important to a lot of people during these times. We would all eat her again if in the area.
