“True to their sign, they really are the best bloody Mary's you will find anywhere! Felt a little out of place, like the second we walked in you could hear a pin drop as the small crowd of people inside all stared judgmentaly at us. The bar tender however wasn't rude, but also wasn't very hospitable either. I've been here more than a dozen times on my way down to dularge, and the only thing that keeps me returning are the bloody marys. I just get em then go!”

“We had Saturday afternoon lunch and it was great! Our server Rhett was friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful with us, as first time guests. The Mahi-mahi was fabulous, the catfish was the best we’ve ever had and the onion sticks are superb. To top it off, we tried the Peanut Butter pie and were quite impressed! This restaurant is worth the trip to Des Allemands, LA!”

“This place is AMAZING! Seasoning on point with every dish we tried. Their seafood pasta definitely is a must try. When reading reviews we decided to try it since others liked it, and man did it taste great. The food was wonderful, but the hospitality of the owner and her employees was also top tier. “Nothing comes close to the barbecue here! This man and his team have truly perfected the art of smoking meats. If you’re planning to stop by, get there early there’s always a long line, and since everything is fresh, they do sell out! I’ve been a longtime customer, and the quality is consistently outstanding, with amazing new menu items popping up all the time. Highly recommend!”

“My wife and I stayed at Ormond Manor last week for 5 nights and had an absolutely wonderful time. The overall property and the Manor are stunning. We stayed in the Magnolia Suite which was beautifully appointed and had plenty of space for us. Communication with Boyd the Operations Manager was courteous and professional. The included breakfast was so delicious and a wonderful way to start our day - everything on the menu was great. Brad and Aaliyah both provided outstanding service during breakfast. Unfortunately our schedule did not allow us to try the restaurant for lunch or dinner - but that gives us yet another reason to go back :-) I also liked the historical references around the property and in the Manor itself giving some insight into the history of the Manor and general area. Overall a clean and well-kept historical gem that gave us a quiet and relaxing stay.

=> Delicious breakfast at the restaurant

“I got the “build your own plate” with chicken, hummus, whipped feta, dill feta, rice, red onion, cucumber and tomato salad (they forgot this), crispy chickpeas, garlic sauce, tzatziki sauce, and pita. The food was delicious fresh and flavorful, but I only gave four stars because I had issues with placing my order online. When I first placed my order, I was charged twice, but the order wasn’t even completed so I had to wait for the money to be refunded before retry my order which was then successful but my other issue was that when I tried to call the restaurant to confirm nobody ever answered luckily my order was placed and ready when I got there, but they did forget to add the cucumber and tomato salad.”

“The Bartenders are lovely! I come here with my boyfriend, and we both love the bartenders here! My favorite drink is always trying something new, and sometimes I like to mix them together.”

“I went with a large party with limited time. I called the day before and asked if we put our order in ahead of time if it could be ready for when we got there. Josey said it wouldn’t be a problem and just call with the order. I placed our order a couple hours later and she ensured everything would be ready. We walked in,our reserved table was waiting with all our food (still hot) and drinks. Ever single order was correct and the food was delicious. Since each meal was a separate check, Josey had the bills all ready next to each plate and it also helped us identify what each meal was. Our time was maximized due to the efficiency of Josey and the cook staff and it was greatly appreciated!”

“Extremely embarrassed to admit that TONIGHT was our very first steak night. The ribeye was delicious, the twice baked potatoes were so freaking goodddd! I missed ordering my usual bang bang shrimp, but to try the steak night meal was worth it. Bread pudding topped it off wonderfully. Both of our kids had grilled cheese sandwiches and darn near licked their plates clean-after eating their meals, half of my steak, and stealing my potatoes. The staff are all super friendly and the service was quick considering we had ordered three steak meals! Thanks Boot T’s!”

“My discovery of German Coast Beer Company is sort of unique. In 1989 I was introduced to the woman who would become my wife. Months later we started dating and in October of that year she invited me to meet her family at her daddy’s birthday party. One her nephews, Brandon Zeringue, was there. He was seven or eight years old. Two years later he and several other nieces and nephews would be in our wedding. Flash forward to 2024 and Brandon opened this brew pub. So this marriage has worked out really well. Also we have four really good adult children but this isn’t about them. Hear that kids, not everything is about you.”

“My family and I absolutely LOVE Ormond Plantation! Between all of us we have tried almost everything on the menu and have always enjoyed it! Of course we all have our favorites! Mine is Creole Stuffed Eggplant!! The owners, staff, chef, and atmosphere add to the enjoyable dining experience!! I pray they are eventually able to bring back Sunday brunch!!”
