Hands down absolute best BBQ in the New Orleans area +/- 1000 miles. The line is worth it. Anything on the menu is worth it but hands down the bread pudding is to die for lol must must must try.
Gonzo's Smokehouse is the bomb! If you haven't ever heard about this place or even seen it, I can totally relate! I was going to visit my son in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and he, like myself, is a bbq connoisseur. We were talking about where he could help me celebrate my birthday, and he started digging and came up with Gonzo's, an hour and 33 minute drive, and 86 miles from his house!! This place was absolutely amazing. I had the brisket sandwich and had to remove some of the brisket off because there was as do much of it on the sandwich. Also ordered the cheese grits which were delicious. To go I ordered a link of their smoked brisket Boudin and I will be returning to Gonzo's because of this item. I've never had anything like it. Didn't taste anything like boudin but it tasted glorious. The burnt ends looked amazing but person in front of me ordered last lb.
