We decided to eat at La Madeleine Sep. 21, 2025 the food was good but the service is the problem. I have been to many La Madeleines restaurants in Texas but this location in Louisiana really disappointed me. The people in the kitchen and the cashier had a terrible attitude and they made us feel like we were askin for free food. It's really sad to experience this when you are about to eat the firts meal of the day. We would NOT recommend this place.

The food is really good - especially the almond croissant.
The service was great, as everyone was really friendly. (But ofc it would be nicer if you could just take a seat and if the waiters come to your table.)
The cafe's interior could honestly be a bit cosier and, hence, more welcoming, because it looks a bit like a barn. 🄲

Food is mediocre and staff is unorganized and not friendly at all. The atmosphere is nice for Sunday brunch or lunch during the week. Sundays are usually busier cause of church crowds but a nice vibe on a good day. If you can catch the food hot and someone who actually likes their job. Otherwise the food is like warm and you will be waiting for someone to take your order cause the workers are always playing around with each other to notice when a customer is waiting..

No ice, numerous tables were not bussed, order took long time to arrive, one meal of the order was given to another table and had to remake. Unprofessional staff. Will not be returning here.

Ordered a blueberry muffin and fruit cup. Waited 20 minutes till I was told it was unavailable. The cold tea, which did arrive was so weak, it tasted like water. Manager only offered refund on the food, but not the $3.00 worthless water they called tea.

I messed up and sent an online order to the wrong location. The store at Carrollton and the store at S. Clearview were both super helpful and got it worked it out and fixed for me. Great service and scrumptious food. I've been a repeat customer for years and will keep coming back. šŸ™‚

I recently stopped by for lunch and was underwhelmed by both the food and the service. What used to be a place I enjoyed has really gone downhill. The meal was mediocre at best—nothing stood out, and it felt like corners were being cut.

What really stood out, though, was being asked for a tip up front at the counter. I don’t mind tipping when the service justifies it, but in this case, there was no table service, no follow-up, and no effort to enhance the experience. It’s ironic—T.I.P. originally stood for ā€œTo Insure Promptness,ā€ but now you are pressured to pay it in advance and just hope for the best.

Sadly, this lunch felt more transactional than enjoyable. Not sure I’ll be back anytime soon.

The place is very dirty. Some of the staff are trying others complaining. A/C not working well. I will
not go back.

Went with a group of six (including one handicapped guest), and overall had a fantastique time! The food was delicious and reasonably priced—great for a casual outing. Most of us had never been before, so we were a bit confused at first about how ordering worked. It’s a mix of counter service and dine-in: you place your order at the register, then some items are brought to the table while others are picked up from the kitchen window—but it wasn’t entirely clear which were which. It’s only confusing because the register is placed at the very end of the kitchen window line, so there's some backtracking included.

The dining area has a nice ambiance, though the music was on the loud side, which made conversation a little difficult. Also worth noting: the tables are quite snug to one another, and we didn’t see any spots specifically accommodating for mobility equipment. We had to set our grandmother’s walker off to the side by the entrance, which made her a bit uneasy (reasonably so).

My daughter and I split the Au Jus Le Pick 3, and it was surprisingly filling. We even treated ourselves to a slice of the Sacher Torte to-go—essentially a rich chocolate, her favorite—and it was delicious.

Staff were friendly and helpful, the food was great for the price, and the little touches like French translations in the restrooms were charming. Just a bit more consideration for accessibility and slightly lower music volume would make it even better.

Quality has gone down unfortunately. Potato Galette are still delicious. Bathroom has a terrible smell now. Croissants use to be flaky and crunchy. Now very soft and and not so flaky. I can definitely see they have made budget cuts, but the price is still so high for a family. Service was quick and friendly
