Food is good. My word of advice is always get rice as a foundation cus everything else tastes weird as a poke bowl foundation.
At the end of the day the place mainly serves one dish, a poke bowl. I guess, hence the name.
Great if you’re into fresh Japanese/hawaiian dishes.
Only negative was the very nice girl who served me was playing her own pretty explicit music on Poke Loa’s sound system. Pretty sure that music is not properly licensed either so…watch out for that.

The food was good for sure. The three stars is because of the ordering process, and to make sure that out-of-towners know what they are getting into. I initially tried to place an order on the app. I was wanting two kids’ bowls for my kids (specifically said that it was a smaller version of the adult BYO bowls). It turned out that you couldn’t actually order a kids meal on the app because they had forgotten to include options to customize the bowl. No big deal. I looked at the various options available in the regular bowl and wrote down the orders. When my husband went to the store to place the orders, they told him that he couldn’t get a kids’ meal. He couldn’t even get just regulars. He had to get a regular and a large. That was wild to me - they couldn’t include the same ingredients and scoop smaller portions? The description said that it was a smaller version of the regular BYO bowl. There were no specifications or restrictions on what could be in the bowl, so I assumed that they would just give less of each ingredient. The large was mostly rice noodles anyway. We ended up having to throw out a bunch of food and pay a lot more, which was frustrating. Please make your app useable, and if you do have restrictions on what can be included in each size of bowl, that really needs to be noted clearly so that people who are trying to order from the app understand how the restaurant operates.
Kid-friendliness: Was unfortunately not a kid-friendly option for us.

The only place I know of for Poke. If you have not tried it, give it a shot. It's kind of like sushi ingredients in a bowl with either rice or greens. You pick all the ingredients you like and they serve it up on the spot. You can get 2-scoops or 3-scoops of the protein. I usually get the 2-scoop shrimp and spicy tuna over brown rice with all kinds of toppings. It's a good option for a fast and healthy lunch. (And there are not many of those around.) They also have some reasonable outdoor seating for when weather permits.
Vegetarian options: You can get tofu as the protein over rice or greens. Most, if not all, of the toppings are vegetarian.
