Ordered hibachi last night, steak was old and over cooked, very bland rice was bland shrimp was cooked nice but no flavor veggies we good, sad salad, soup was gross

Weirdest experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant. I got at 12:30PM, a typical lunch hour, and the place was empty. I was literally the only customer there.I ordered one sushi roll, and although I mentioned I’m dining in, I received it in an aluminum plate, with a fork (!!). When I asked for chopsticks, the worker sent me to the table to get the chopsticks myself.The fish wasn’t fresh, and the overall taste was no more than fine.

Watami use to be a favorite place for take out for us. This new Zi Watami, the staff is friendlier but the food was a huge disappointment. We ordered steak and chicken habachi. The meat tasted boiled and had no flavor. The steak was covered in black pepper. The vegetables were even bland. LSU roll was kind of ok but that spicy mayo ?? Waste of $$ Will not be going back. The food is actually good to me. I want to update my review. I had one bad experience, but the rest were really good. I have had mostly great experiences here with the food and the service. I know we are dealing with challenges.

Sushi tasted bland. I know it was a raw roll, but I was not expecting what tasted and looked like raw shrimp. Brought it home, microwaved for 30 sec and it was a lot better.
Absolutely a spot worth visiting, the food is fantastic and fresh, the prices are convenient and it is always clean there. 5 stars.
This place needs a restaurant rescue. Food was mediocre at best, staff unenthusiastic and oviance is old/rundown
