“We happened upon Deedy’s for dinner having just rolled into Louisiana and wanted something authentic.If you want the kind of food that you’d get from someone who really loves you, this is the place to be. Nothing fancy but a huge helping of really solid food.I had the rice & beans with pork chops along with a side of yams or sweet potatoes. My gosh, this was a monster meal. A big, big deep-fried pork chops and legit rice & beans. Lots and lots of rice & beans. Good rice and beans.But those sweet potatoes. These is the kind of dish where everybody at the church picnic makes sure that Deedy is going to be there and is going to bring lots of those incredible sweet potatoes and they’re going to be the first thing everybody goes for. And I’m not a huge sweet potato fan, but these things are a-maze-ing.My wife had the shrimp po’boy sandwich and really enjoyed that too.This place isn’t fancy and it’s like eating at your aunt’s house in that it’s casual and down home. The food is legit and the people are just friendly, especially Deedy. She cares and it shows and she has every right to be proud of what comes out of the kitchen.And I can’t wait to go back. And get a lot of that down home cooking.To explain the atmosphere it's not anything fancy but that's part of what makes this place so special. It's like being in one of your favorite aunt's home.”

“This is the first time my husband and I have eaten in Eunice. We were passing through on a Saturday evening and wanted something that was outside of your typical chain restaurant. We were promptly greeted as soon as we walked in. Once seated , our waitress was very friendly and quick to wait on us. I ordered the chicken and sausage gumbo. My hubby had the bacon cheeseburger with tots. First, the gumbo was spectacular! The flavor was perfect! I’ve eaten a lot of gumbo through the years and you can always tell if a gumbo has been cooked correctly-it MUST be slow simmered for hours to allow the flavors to “marry”. Otherwise you will end up with a liquid that tastes like water, seasoning, and flour roux. This gumbo was definitely cooked by someone that is experienced in true Cajun cooking. The rice was also cooked perfectly and the potato salad was equally just as good.My husband said his bacon cheese burger and tots were also delicious. The meat patty was made using fresh beef, not from a pre-frozen patty. After the meal, we were given our choice of a complimentary desert which is definitely a nice touch. I had the chocolate mousse and my hubby had the apple cobbler. Both were very good. By chance, the owner of the restaurant was eating next to us with her family. She was a very personable lady who seemed to really have her heart and soul in this restaurant. You could tell that she takes great pride in making sure that her customers are satisfied. If you are in the area and are looking for really good authentic Cajun food at a very reasonable price, please stop by and support this restaurant owner and her sweet family. “Yummy! Recently, someone offered to pick up a plate of bbq from Allison's for me, of course I agreed. I'm so glad I didn't the beans were good, the potato salad was perfect, the rice dressing was delicious and the chicken was juicy! 10/10 recommend!”

“I've been coming here for as long as I've lived in this town and the food has always been good. I would highly recommend anything on the menu. As for the service, the normal wait staff are very sweet however the newer ones are somewhat forgetful. The atmosphere is normally quiet with music in the background.”

“This place is awesome. Located in the middle of Mowata, Mo' Crawfish is as legit as they come. I have been to the Eunice area a few times for work over the last year or so. I aksed some of the locals for recommendations and they sent me here. Damn, they were right. The crawfish here both times I went were great. Plump, juicy, and spicy. They also have some super cool trays that have a little slider for your shell debris. All crawfish restaurants should adopt these trays. In addition to crawfish, you can get other boiled items as well as other Cajun fare. The gumbo comes with potato salad and is as good as any restaurant gumbo I have ever had. The waitstaff is young and super friendly. We received our food quickly and never had to beg for drink refills, etc. I highly recommend this place. It is even worth a trip to Mowata from wherever you are. Forget the touristy places, get yourself here.”

“It's fairly quiet for sharing a space with a convenience store and the foods pretty good. I'm not a big fan of the rice that comes with it though, it's fairly flavorless.”

“My husband and I love going shoot pool, drink and just have a good time when we are kid-free. Even if you lose your house key in the parking lot, just call them up. Come back tomorrow and get it. Absolutely enjoy going there”
