“I really enjoy visiting small town coffee shops. They have a vibe corporate coffee shops cannot emulate. This was a great experience! Crazy enough, many coffee shops miss the mark with drinks as simple as a vanilla latte. They did not miss the mark. It was spot on, didn’t have the “burnt” taste, and was a great temperature. The cinnamon roll was filling and was warmed up without asking (as all cinnamon rolls should be).I really enjoyed visiting the place and will be back.”

“Visited on Fat Tuesday weekend. Crowded as hell, but then this IS the place to be in Mamou during Carnival. There's a vibe here not to be missed while zydeco plays in the street. The bloody mary was sublime.”

Nothing fancy but a huge helping of really solid food.I had the rice & beans with pork chops along with a side of yams or sweet potatoes. My gosh, this was a monster meal. A big, big deep-fried pork chops and legit rice & beans. Lots and lots of rice & beans. Good rice and beans.But those sweet potatoes. These is the kind of dish where everybody at the church picnic makes sure that Deedy is going to be there and is going to bring lots of those incredible sweet potatoes and they’re going to be the first thing everybody goes for. And I’m not a huge sweet potato fan, but these things are a-maze-ing.My wife had the shrimp po’boy sandwich and really enjoyed that too.This place isn’t fancy and it’s like eating at your aunt’s house in that it’s casual and down home. The food is legit and the people are just friendly, especially Deedy. She cares and it shows and she has every right to be proud of what comes out of the kitchen.And I can’t wait to go back. And get a lot of that down home cooking.To explain the atmosphere it's not anything fancy but that's part of what makes this place so special. It's like being in one of your favorite aunt's home.”

“Very courteous and attentive staff. Clean and quaint atmosphere. There are little nooks (booths) to sit in for added privacy, if you wish and it’s very well decorated.It feels cozy, almost like being at the camp in the country. ”

“This is the first time my husband and I have eaten in Eunice. We were passing through on a Saturday evening and wanted something that was outside of your typical chain restaurant. We were promptly greeted as soon as we walked in. Once seated , our waitress was very friendly and quick to wait on us. I ordered the chicken and sausage gumbo. My hubby had the bacon cheeseburger with tots. First, the gumbo was spectacular! The flavor was perfect! I’ve eaten a lot of gumbo through the years and you can always tell if a gumbo has been cooked correctly-it MUST be slow simmered for hours to allow the flavors to “marry”. Otherwise you will end up with a liquid that tastes like water, seasoning, and flour roux. This gumbo was definitely cooked by someone that is experienced in true Cajun cooking. The rice was also cooked perfectly and the potato salad was equally just as good.My husband said his bacon cheese burger and tots were also delicious. The meat patty was made using fresh beef, not from a pre-frozen patty. After the meal, we were given our choice of a complimentary desert which is definitely a nice touch. I had the chocolate mousse and my hubby had the apple cobbler. Both were very good. By chance, the owner of the restaurant was eating next to us with her family. She was a very personable lady who seemed to really have her heart and soul in this restaurant. You could tell that she takes great pride in making sure that her customers are satisfied. If you are in the area and are looking for really good authentic Cajun food at a very reasonable price, please stop by and support this restaurant owner and her sweet family. “I've been coming here for as long as I've lived in this town and the food has always been good. I would highly recommend anything on the menu. As for the service, the normal wait staff are very sweet however the newer ones are somewhat forgetful. The atmosphere is normally quiet with music in the background.”

“A gem tucked away. I’ve been to quite a few buffets and seafood establishments. There is a wait before it opens. Make sure to get on the waiting list.The food is above par than most seafood buffets or AYCE catfish restaurants. What a lot of them miss, is the crab boil, and seasoning. This place was pleasantly surprisingly. It was clean, food was flavorful, and there is a variety of choices for adults and kids. Wednesday was 2 for $30. Fried okra, fried chicken, fried crawfish tails, and fried fish were all rocking! The pasta - I went back for seconds.Service can be a little slow but it was packed out within five minutes of opening. That’s hard for most servers to stay out of the weeds.They have a dessert area with cupcakes, cookies, and pies. So try not to fill up strictly on those fried crawfish tails or boiled shrimp.”
