Nice place . Very hard to get into if you're not familiar with the setup. If you're new with this like I was, use the lot across the street from what looks like an abandoned building. Go up the narrow road with cars blocking the way and it's on the right. Nice guys there though... Really helpful and will allow for you to rinse out the back of your truck.

AmeriPure is a truly amazing company. They produce local and high quality oysters. All oysters are hand shucked and packaged by a human being and not a machine. They've certainly taken a hit since the oil spill, but I do believe they are still up and running. Hopefully they will be here for a long time, we need the commerce here in Acadiana.

AmeriPure was one of the great food companies in the United States. They processed a superior product and single-handedly made me feel comfortable with consuming raw (and even cooked) oysters again. Due to the BP oil spill in the Gulf, they had to cease operations recently. They don't know when (or if) they will ever be back in business. We will miss you, AmeriPure!
