Nice place. Lots of seafood on the menu. Hamburger was one of the best ever. Fries were tasty but could have been crispier. Side salad was good. Vegetable soup cup was large and tasty. Catherin was pleasant and took good care of us.

We were staying at The Fairfax BnB and Debbie recommended The Forrest Restaurant for dinner. We ordered Fried Shrimp and Oysters and they were perfectly fried and delicious! Dessert was Mississippi Mud Cake...yum! I ordered a Vodka Tonic from bar and the tonic was flat but other than that everything was great. Our waitress was very sweet and attentive.

Great place to stay. So quiet, I could work on all my reports! Enjoyed the restaurant too. Fresh breakfast, plenty of food. Friendly and warm greetings. The hotel rates are very reasonable. Morgan City rates were too high and the area around the hotel was too noisy.
Good service, I enjoyed my first visit here. I had the grilled shrimp Alfredo. Nice presentation, tasty shrimp in a good sauce. The angel hair pasta was cut short giving it a strange texture but over all it was good. Worth a trip to Franklin.

Best place to stay within 60 miles!! Loved the restaurant for dinner and free breakfast in the morning! You won’t be disappointed with the staff and restaurant crew, even the cleaning crew were great!! Don’t wait go and enjoy yourself!!

Have been here many times before but tonight was a disappointment. The spaghetti and meatballs had been changed. Gone were the really good hand made meatballs replaced by store bought frozen ones. The really small ones. Terrible!!! Sauce was also changed. Very little flavor and the spaghetti noodles were barely warm. The server was great!! Liked her very much. She and the very nice lady at the register are the only reason I'm giving 3 stars. If this had been my first time here I would not be back. Tell the person in charge of the kitchen to listen to the wait staff and repeat customers about what is not working!!!

I've had the loaded cheeseburger steak with fries which was very good. The grilled shrimp salad was good, but the salad only consisted of iceberg lettuce, tomato wedges and a boiled egg. The Grilled shrimp were very good and plenty were on the salad. Service is always great and it's always clean and pleasant atmosphere.

To-Go food here has always been top notch. The burgers, the hamburger po-boy, the shrimp po-boy, amongst many on other choices won't leave you hungry. Delicious Cajun Food found here. Dined in and had their fried crawfish and etouffee which was plenty and worth it as well. Great local dining spot and one of the few in town.02.02.22: had their Shrimp Gumbo at a family event: it had ZERO love in it. Seemed like an after thought. Whoever made it that day needs to find another line of work. It wasn't Gumbo. More like a watery stock with only Shrimp. Like I said ZERO love. Fix this.
