A staple for my family for the last 40 plus years. Had brunch with my sister there today and everything on the buffet was hot and fresh. The owner runs the place meticulously and cautiously. Every single person working there was extremely pleasant and professional. They seem to know their regulars by name and even help the elderly walk to their automobile. Great Cajun dishes, fries fish and crayfish etoufee were delicious. Service is always friendly and good. They have frozen dishes to take home. Good experience.

We were staying at The Fairfax BnB and Debbie recommended The Forrest Restaurant for dinner. We ordered Fried Shrimp and Oysters and they were perfectly fried and delicious! Dessert was Mississippi Mud Cake...yum! I ordered a Vodka Tonic from bar and the tonic was flat but other than that everything was great. Our waitress was very sweet and attentive.
