The sausage is some of the best money can buy. I only gave 4 stars due to the 14 ounce packaging. Come on, guys- put those 2 extra ounces in there. Recipes call for 1 POUND of sausage…

I used to Live in South Louisiana and miss the food. My sister went "home" and went grocery shopping. She brought back French Settlement Smoked Sausage and it is DELICIOUS! I wish it was available in Birmingham, AL.

Absolute BEST sausage you'll ever have! I've used only French Settlement green onion sausage for years and wont buy anything else. I called with a question regarding the hot sausage and received great customer service.

I have never been to their shop, but this is my favorite sausage ever. I don’t buy anything else. I like the mild, the green onion and the hot. Every time I go to Rouses I pick up a pack because that’s the only place I have found it. I wish more stores carried it.

Difficult to purchase, but the very best smoked sausage in the Southeast US

I picked up the green onion and the mild smoked sausage from Brian’s supermarket in Maurepaus La. last week. I wanted to try both but was hesitant about purchasing both without ever trying either. I had both in my hands and walked up to an employee wearing a black shirt ( probably the owner or manager) and asked which one was better. He said both are great. Another guy standing next to him ( probably a distributor ) said he used the green onion the night before in some red beans and he said the sausage was great. The owner/ manager said hey look, get the mild and the pack of green onion was on him. He followed me to the cash register and told the employee don’t charge him for the green onion. I thought he must be the owner or manager !!! I put the green onion on the grill that evening, and let me tell you that was some fine eating. The mild is next on the grill. If it’s anything like the green onion, I’m sure it will be great. Needless to say I’ll be picking up the hot as well I’m the near future. My compliments to Brian’s supermarket as well as the French Settlement Sausage company!!!
