This restaurant is a jewel. It is in an old building that doesn't look real attractive from the outside. But don't let that put you off. Inside, you get a warm down home greeting and some of the best food around with reasonable prices. I've had the chicken fried steak, the fish dinner, and the grilled fish. All were delicious! And you won't leave hungry. Their beef is fresh and from a local rancher.The atmosphere inside is very pleasant. Wait-staff are very friendly and efficient. I didn't see the cooks, but they know how to cook! This is a locals favorite. Not necessary, but best to call ahead and make a reservation. It's definitely out of town, but well worth the drive. Impress your date or bring the family.
I love eating at Main Street. It is always a busy place so there may be a little wait. The good food makes up for that. The grilled fish plate is delicious.

Absolutely wonderful!! We had chicken fried steak and hamburger steak. Mashed potatoes with brown and white gravy between the two, green beans, and cream style corn, and rolls. Reminds me of Momma's cooking from 20+ years ago, which was a wonderful feeling! We drove the 30 miles from South Bossier and will be back. The people beside us had the catfish and I almost changed my order!! Excellent prices! They have desert also, but it isn't on a printed menu. Not a bad thing to say about this stop and I'm pretty critical when it comes to food!

I can't rate them for nothing from the moment we walked In ALL EYE'S was on me and my husband then not to mention the server came up spoke and asked how many mind you it was several tables available she said what's your name i'm like what's wrong is it a wait she says um yea so why the hell so with all these tables available so now i'm lost and tells my husband let's ho cause the EYE'S was already on us from the moment we walked in now we gotta wait. I wouldn't recommend this place at all. NEVER AGAIN AND WE DROVE 36MILES.
