Chicken Salad Chick

Food is good when you get it, but if you're in a hurry to get through the drive-through lower your expectations. Also, be prepared for them to actually be out of chicken salad. In the last month, I have been the only person in-line at the drive through and was told to hold. The last time it happened, after 5 mins, I decided to pass by the dining area to see the store was empty. This is 5-5:30 pm on a Monday. I walked in 4 people there doing random things but not thrilled to take my order. Good food!

Update: We've visited this restaurant twice for lunch and enjoyed the comfortable environment, pleasant decor, and the food. Customer service is friendly, but the attention to detail needs improvement.
My first to-go order didn't include a side. It was refunded but we didn't get what we ordered. The second time our food was brought to the table - burned. I sent it back and got a new sandwich but never an apology.

Historically, we love this restaurant and the business model. It's a great concept and quality product...until now.
We dined in at the Gonzales location this evening and were greeted at the counter by a young man that spoke so quietly that he was almost whispering our orders back to us. Two of us ordered the warm grilled cheese chicken salad croissants but received cold sandwiches and the cheese was not even melted. The chicken salad didn’t taste fresh either. Hmmm? My wife ordered the club sandwich and the bacon was cold and hard and encased in solidified fat. She also stated that it was chewy and very dry. The best item tonight was still the cookie.
The dining room was in bad need of a sweeping and several of the tables needed to be wiped clean. The dining room trash bins were full of trash (not overflowing) but getting there!
The drive-thru attendant delivered our food in the dining room, so she was confused about what we ordered and to whom the sandwiches went. *I guess the whisperer was on his break.
It may have just been an 'off' night, but it'll be awhile before we return.

While I didn’t order any food this time, only a soda, the customer service was pretty bad. I was the only person inside the building and stood there at the cash register for awhile while the two employees right there didn’t acknowledge my presence. Finally one turned around and with an attitude asked me something that I couldn’t even understand because she was mumbling so bad. I said I needed to order just a drink and she mumbled something again that was incoherent to me. So, I repeated myself. Finally the second girl who was just standing there tells the mumbling employee I just needed to order and a drink. The second girl ended up checking me out and was pleasant enough. I received better customer service from the 4 year old waiting with her mom for their order than I did from the employees. I’m glad I don’t live here because, based on customer service alone, I would never go back.

My family and I have been supporting this business since they've opened and never had a problem until today! April 18, 2025 (3:30pm). We spend $30 plus each trip! Today I went to get our usual and got upset and frustrated and really won't be spending anymore money here! While one customer won't hurt their pockets Corporate should know how they (Management and crew) treat their paying customers! I ordered The Chick 2 scoops and was only given 7 crackers the total went to 7 after asking for more! I asked the young lady at the window whom had had an attitude from the moment I got to the window bc they rang me up for a regular lemonade on a kids meal! Mind you when placing my order for my kids I ordered a strawberry and a regular lemonade. I assumed they misunderstood me when I said regular with an adult size drink. She ended up taking off the entire kids meal and
rerang it up on a separate ticket. At this point I'm like what are y'all doing? I asked for more crackers after checking my bag she said she couldn't give me more because I already had 7. I said I could pay for more or can I speak to the manager because this has never been a problem before! She came back and said the manager is busy fixing food (No one in the lobby nor behind me) I get it could have been door dash orders but to refuse to help or hear out a paying long term customer to me was unacceptable! These past few months their customer service has gone down! Common sense really is common and obviously taking accountability isn't a norm! Management needs better training and hold their self and employees accountable and workers need to be at the window only of they can comprehend, without attitude! I'll be glad to spend my money else where before I feel un heard or pushed to the side! Do Better! Remember WE pay y'all bills, not the other way around!

My friend & I met here for lunch. We both had soup. The soup was delicious but I thought it was costly. I'm going to stick with the sandwiches. I love Love Love Fruity Fran chicken salad!! Out of this world delicious!! Fruit to chicken salad?! Who would've thought that would taste good! But it does!!

Ascension Parish Master Gardeners say Thank You!!! OMG, your chicken salad is Delicious. Multiple flavors were ordered. It looked like the 25 new Master Gardeners loved it and so did the rest of us. Highest recommendation possible!!! These people don't play.

I walked in and it wasn’t busy at all, there was one employee in the kitchen just walking back and forth. I was not assisted at all after standing there for 5 minutes or so at the register. The worker just kept ignoring me after looking at me a couple times.

Disappointed…. My meal looks like a child’s portion. Grape salad is simply yogurt covered grapes. It use to come with a delicious topping. Also, no crackers served with the chicken salad.
