“Fantastic Turnaround – Excellent Catered Dinner After an off experience on Valentine’s Day… I don’t usually write follow-up reviews, but after an off experience (missing items, quality issues, etc.) on Valentine’s Day, I wanted to share how impressed we were with the follow-up. Kerry Kelley reached out, listened to our feedback, and kindly catered our dinner last night. Everything was spot-on and absolutely delicious—the food was fresh, flavorful, and exceeded our expectations. Highlights included perfectly prepared steak and seafood dishes that reminded us why we’ve loved Mike Anderson’s for years. The portions were generous, everything arrived hot and well-packaged, and the overall experience turned our view around completely. It’s clear they take customer satisfaction seriously and go the extra mile to make things right. Thank you to both the Gonzales Prairieville teams for the great recovery—we’re excited to order again and will definitely be back for dine-in soon. Highly recommend giving them another chance if you’ve had an off experience in the past!”

“I ordered 4 dz boiled crabs and 8 lbs of boiled shrimp for out of town visiting family members. Everything was seasoned perfectly. The #2 crabs were all full the shrimp were very very large. It was so yummy. This place has greatly improved. I will definitely be back. Thanks so much!”

“Thankfully…our rental car broke down in front of this establishment (what a place to breakdown! Lol). They let us sit at the bar to stay cool while we waited for the tow truck, and spoiled us with good discussion, and some snacks to try. We also ordered the chorizo queso and guacamole, which were both very good! Recommend stopping by for the fantastic folks who were here, and the food as well!”

“Went there with a friend from overseas he only drinks decaf and the person at the intercom was very accommodating to this and in turn it made me respect this particular PJ's even more. The questions she did not know she clearly stated she didn't know and we can go ask someone more Superior and longevity there as it is her summer job between going to her senior year. I do not remember her name but I do know that she had a purple sweater with SZA on IT. In the end my friend was able to get a decaf pecan praline Frozen with no whip cream and I got the king cake Frozen with no whipped cream. Will definitely be going back just for the friendliness and kindness. Worth going 30 30 minutes out of way just to get the kindness that we received today!!”

The other Albasha in Gonzales, however, Albashas Express, always takes our money but doesnt provide all food we paid for. Imagine a busy day at work, your starving, then NOT receiving some of the food you did paid. Its one thing to make a mistake, its another to repeat it multiple times, then go off on your customers because you do a poor job.”

“Tiger Tavern masquerades as a simple daiquiri shop. It's much more of a local Gathering Place specializing in local craft beers. They have dozens of local drafts ranging in size from 5 oz to a growler sprawled across their massive and rustic bar.

We always try to get at least one drink from this place when we are in town. The people are friendly and always remember us even if its been six months. They have a tremendous selection of whiskey as well and the prices are great.

They have lots of different events and some arcade games as well as darts.”

“Opens at 430 for breakfast and I believe stays open until 7 pm. I had the Hondurian tacos and they were so good you could do a little dance! There is a very nice and clean inside dining room, and some tables outside. My husband had the quesadillas. The meat has a unique smoky taste that is delicious. The nice lady sent me home with extra pickled veggies since I liked them so much. Definitely a hidden gem.”

I told staff I hadn’t been so didn’t know what I’d want and they made very very good suggestions and were so friendly about it. 10/10 will be back when I’m in a town that has a store. “I went through the drive through just now. While handing the girl my card, she was trying to hand me my order at the same time. In the exchange, the bag of food ended up falling to the ground. To me, it was no big deal, but the manager immediately had someone remake my entire order, and even upgraded my side item to a large! This was a pleasant surprise and fun start to my day. The staff at Chic-fil-A Gonzales really went above and beyond, and in my opinion, we all need to be more like that when mistakes happen. Id like to add, I frequent this place every week to other week, and I've never had a negative experience.”

The Pimento cheese is awesome. Also the chicken salad with the cranberries. The broccoli salad is great, and the grape salad is wonderful. It also feels like a healthy meal. This has quickly become my favorite place.”

The food, drinks, atmosphere, and service are always fantastic! “Love the pizza!! I had an emergency for a lunch meeting we were hosting at a clients lication. The place we ordered lunch from wasn't answering their doors or phones 35 minutes before our meeting was supposed to start! Panicking i turned into Johnny's before they were even open...and they opened up, took my order, fired up the ovens and had me on my way with pizza to feed a dozen attendants at the meeting! That's AMAZING service! Forever grateful to Jihnny's in Gonzales!”

We got seated quickly, I got a double drink, it was made amazing. the chips were fresh, salsa was good, food was great and come out fairly quick. they had a band there that was really good. “DONT RECOMMEND! Out of the starting gate was just unprofessional. There was trash on the floor at the booth we were sat at. The girl sweep it up but it was wet with whatever was under the trash. The food was ok but however the tomato water (salsa?)for the chips was nasty. The waiter did not spilt the checks right. We will not be returning to that restaurant. Very unprofessional overall. DONT RECOMMEND!”
