“Earlier today I got lunch at Hello Tokyo! It was delicious as always, best priced philly roll anywhere in BR/Gonzales. I wanted to leave a review because we really enjoyed our server today. His name was Isaac and he did an excellent job. Very attentive to detail and such a sweetheart and we definitely would ask for his table again. Really great service from entrance to exit and the rest of the staff seemed to be doing a great job as well“

“I come here for lunch when in town for work. Food here is good, but i especially like the lomein. Its dosed in this oily garlic oil sauce that heightens the flavor profile, and its a good amount of garlic too that alot of chinese places dont do surprisingly, so it gives it a nice garlic flavor. I put the chicken and broccoli over top the lomein to really load it up and its extremely good and filling.“

I usually get their shrimp hibachi for lunch and enjoy their sushi rolls and other sushi from their sushi menu... sushi pizza is one of our favorites... and of course I can't leave a 5 star review without mentioning how amazing there saki menu is, they even have multiple Nigori sakes to choose from...“

“Every single night I order the sashimi plate. Usually I do takeout. But I cannot describe how wonderful this plate of assorted fish can truly be after a long day of work. There are other great sushi restaurants throughout Baton Rouge. Ichiban and Tsuyama have certainly established themselves and a great places to go eat sushi. Then, there are those that are just places to get sushi and nothing more. They offered nothing in the way of culture or give anything in return other than to fill your stomach. I was skeptical about Hello sushi at first, considering the name is not my favorite. But let me tell you, you can tell how good a sushi restaurant is based on its freshness and texture and vibrant of its fish. The octopus and the white fish and the salmon and the roe are killer! Most sashimi dinners are filled with imitation crab sticks (none of which is found in this assortment). It’s a little bit embarrassing how often I eat this sashimi dinner but I always like to order a random roll to go with it. And they are very good — the crunchy and the Philly and the speciality rolls — in particular the sea dragon which is loaded with delicious fish. The Hello There roll and the treasure island roll both use imported shrimp and are very unique.
When I do eat my sashimi, I like to mix it up. Of course I’ll use the ever-popular mainstay soy sauce. But dipping the white fish and the octopus into warm garlic butter is so, so good.
Do not sleep on this place. Again, best sashimi plate of all of the BR great ones.“
