“I got a build your own poke bowl with snow crab and crawfish and it was delicious. Easily better than any other poke place I've had in town. The service was great, the place was really clean, and the prices are good too. Will definitely be coming again“
“It was such a pleasure to go to Cheng’s. The food was hot, fresh, and delicious. The waitress kept our glasses filled and continued to check on us to make sure everything was good. She was very sweet. The owner came and talked to us after our meal and we just had to let him know how much we miss him and the food in Hammond. They are the nicest people. Will be going back now I know where they are. We miss China Garden!!! But it’s on now for Cheng’s!!!“
“The place is really nice, super clean, warm and cozy. I’ve been here couple times and they never disappoint me. The tall white waiter guy work there he’s extremely nice, respectful, greeted you on the way in and out. I’ll definitely coming back. I’d hope you guys business successful. Happy New Year.“
“I’ve only visited Sushi Mass twice and the time gap between both visits is by years, but don’t let that say anything bad. Both times I’ve been I have loved the food and enjoyed myself. The atmosphere is amazing and calm, a perfect sit down lunch/dinner. I’d honestly let the time gap show that the quality has always been there and I think I’ve found my new favorite place. I sadly lost my mom in 2022 and she didn’t care for Japanese food but my dad does, we’ve been looking for places to eat other than our norm and they fit the bill. Literally! We had the all you can eat lunch menu and literally paid the same we would at a steakhouse or even Applebees! Can’t beat that plus the atmosphere and customer service outranks all in my opinion.“
“We come here to get boba tea a couple of times a month. It is always good. Clean with quick service. Staff is always very nice. Thai Tea with Coffee jelly... try it. The Banana Milk Tea delicious. My 13 year old loves the strawberry fruit Tea with strawberry popping bubbles.“
“The food is ok. It’s not bad sushi, but it’s not knock-your-socks-off sushi either. I’ve been here 2-3 times, and the servers are nice. You’ll have to flag them down for anything you may need, because they don’t come around often enough, however, they are pleasant.“
“Really good food and super generous portions! We went late on a Saturday night. They had steady business for dine in and takeout. The side of fried rice that comes with the entrees is enough for 2-3 people! The chicken and steak hibachi plate is enormous! The tempura vegetables are delicious! The only thing that kept me from giving Salt and Light a 5 were the waitresses. Our waitress came to our table telling us that she was having a bad day which in itself is not bad, but it was like she was preparing us for so-so service. She couldn't answer any of our questions about menu items and she didn't even try to ask the kitchen. She was friendly but disappeared often. It took her quite a while to come and take our order and she rarely checked on us. Then, her friends came in and got a table so she went and sat with them for a while! Also, I found it a little odd that the waitresses didn't help each other bring food to each other's tables, bus tables or help each other at all! It was kind of a "every woman for themselves" vibe!“
“A gem hiding in plain sight! I haven't had anything bad. And there is something about the Hot and Sour soup for me. They serve the best that I've had...and I have tried plenty nationwide!Sushi is fresh. Good variety of sake, if you are into it. Very attentive service. Great stop if you are in the area.Support local!!“
“This is always a great family dinner night! The chef's are amazing, funny and entertaining! The food is always wonderful! My kids are in their late teens and early 20s and always busy! Lol! So when we find time on the same night this is where we go to have a good time together“
“Nice little place with sushi bar and hibachi. Clean and average priced. Good food and rolls, good sushi. Lots of bar specials and sake options. More private rooms in the back and in a decent location. Consistent restaurant and been here for years.“
“I'm a fan! The all-you-can-eat option is a very enjoyable approach to lunch when you can find it. Very "Sushi Masa"-esque, but the quality of food is better for the price, in my opinion. No paper-thin slices of nigiri sushi here!Very attentive service. Modest full bar with liquor staples, wine, and sake options.“
“If you're looking for a small, quiet place to eat sushi. This is the place to go! It's always the same staff working when I go. Which is great because it makes the experience better. Personally I would recommend trying the spicy seaweed salad. It's a nice mix of crab, seaweed, and cucumber. Best appetizer they have. My favorite roll is the fire mountain roll. It's wonderful. Definitely consider giving this place a try!“
“I’ve known about Hello Sushi but never made it there. On a whim wife and went this past weekend and we were not disappointed. The service was fantastic and the quality of the sushi rolls were excellent. Will definitely return and hopefully soon.“
“Best sushi in town in Baton Rouge! The sushi is delicious, not too strong and not too bland. And the salmon and tuna is thick and fresh. Service is excellent, the food came in no time. Very recommended place to get a fresh sushi, much better than instant sushi you get in other restaurants.Dietary restrictions: No pork“
“I always get the LSU Roll! I haven’t tried many sushi places in Baton Rouge because they’re the best I’ve had. I normally have to order ahead for lunch (at least 30min) and it’s sooo good every time. No dine-in options available, but it’s so good it normally doesn’t make it out of the parking lot.“
“First time at this location . When I was a truck driver I would frequent the Denham Sorings location because of the Pilot truck stop on a recent trip to B.R. from N.O. I learned of the Prairieville location and decided to stop . I'm glad I did the Lagniappe Roll (my reason for going to begin with ) was just like I remembered it I'll definitely be visiting more often .Crabstick and cucumber saladWhoDat nachosAnd of course my fave from Geisha The Lagniappe Roll“
