Izzo's Illegal Burrito - Outfitters Dr., Gonzales

Ordered the birria burrito which was advertised in the picture with broth to dip in & they claimed when we picked our order up that they don’t have the broth. Such crap when I order something & don’t get it. Don’t advertise it if it doesn’t come with it.

We went in on the later side, but employees had great attitudes, you don’t see that to many places!

The Metairie Izzo’s has gone down hill over the past couple of years. Ordered from there for the last time tonight. The orders have been consistently wrong, poor quality, and lacking ingredients we paid for. Just returned from the 4th time of having to get our order fixed in two months, they didn’t send half of our order. Last time, the steak burrito we ordered came with no steak. If you’d like to be disappointed, frustrated, and let down, feel free to eat here.

They serve raw chicken. I don’t know what process is in place to make sure the food is cooked but it wasn’t followed as I had completely raw chicken in my burrito. Not underdone I mean squishy pink raw chicken. Absolutely disgusting. I will upload pics as well for anyone who wants to see the salmonella they serve.

Me and my boyfriend came in tonight, and not only were there employees outside hanging out when we pulled up, one of the workers were very disrespectful. He went inside before us and said “I don’t give a f” and then didn’t hold the door open for us mumbling under his breath. Then as we got our food from the kind man making our plates, the same guy came back in from taking the trash still mumbling talking about us. As we left, the people outside started laughing at us. I’m not sure what’s going on with these employees as they work customer service and I’m sure would like a tip. But it needs to be fixed. First time at Izzo’s and so far, not going back bc of those individuals. My boyfriends steak in his burrito is also rock solid.

Food was great. Workers and managers how ever seem like they have never worked in customer service. My friend dropped her plate and nothing was done about it. She cleaned it up herself, mind you she is pregnant, and then went to reorder it. They were going to make her pay full price for it. Then the manger came over she asked if she had to pay full price and he said no and charged her half. Absolutely terrible service.

I like the bowls and their queso and chips. Just great, simple comfort food. Not much for dining in experience but great to pick up and take to the house.

Food was extremely sloppy and wet. Rice was undercooked and kinda crunchy. Steak was too dry. Chicken and beans were cold.
