I hope Louisianans realize that the doughnuts we enjoy are not available anywhere else in the country. I live in Atlanta now, and the closest thing I can get to a real doughnut over here is Krispy Kreme. I grew up in Acadiana. Doughnuts for me were always either Ruddocks in Crowley, or Mecheās in Lafayette.
I only have family left in Baton Rouge area, so Iāve been getting Mary Leeās when I visit the last few years. They are AMAZING!! I always get glazedāwho needs jelly, frosting or sprinkles when you have a perfect doughnut to begin with? Thatās just guilding the lilly!

Last time I picked up hot doughnuts for work those guys ate box and all. Best this side of the Mason Dixon line. Try the blueberry fritter tell them charles Manson sent ya.

5:00 AM on a Sunday. Wanted 2 eclairs and 8 donuts. Cashier pulled out their smallest bag and was going to put the eclairs in it. When I noted it would scrape all the chocolate coating off, she said it would only be a little. I asked for a box. She said I had to add 2 more donuts (Iām guessing to justify the box). I agreed/paid. Got home. Donuts were cold. Yesterdayās donuts.
Make more fried croissants!!! Love everything, but the croissants are my favorite š

These taste like Tastee Donuts which are nothing to write home about. Basic donut taste. All the hype is about the fact they are hot. Let em sit for a day and taste em. Nothing special about the taste. Nothing can beat the Krispy Kreme donut. Great flavor hot or cold with an airy, moist texture like no others.

Came down here from Chicago and my nephew insisted that we come here. He said āitās the best donut Iāll ever haveā. Iāve had my fair share of donuts so I was intrigued. Friendly service and I have to agree Iād say thank goodness I live in Chicago because this would be a daily stop. And bayyybee I would not fit in my jeans. These donuts are so soft and airy and perfect. 10/10

Mary Lee Donuts are great. This location was closing at noon when we went there. If you want a good selection of donuts, get there early because the closer you are to closing time, the variety and quantity of donuts š© get smaller and smaller. We arrived at 11:40 and bought almost all the donuts. There were some bear claws and some twisted rope items left, but just a couple of donuts. A lady came in after us and wanted a dozen donuts but she was out of luck.
