I stopped here for lunch today and ordered the Fried Chicken Strip Po'boy. Po'boy comes fully dressed with tomato, mayo, and pickles. You have the option to omit the ingredients to your liking. Bread was ok. Chicken strips were juicy and had flavor. I really enjoy it! They also have Chinese food such as egg rolls and fried rice. I usually come here for the sandwich though. Perhaps on the next visit, I'll try something different.
This establishment is a staple "mom & pop" restaurant in Gonzales, for as long as I can remember. Since I was in high school. ?? I don't know if they've changed ownership, but the food taste the same, great!.

Just driving through pulled up the search for good Roast beef Po'boy, they also have a big selection of Chinese foods. I got a sm chicken fried rice, very good. The sandwich, eh, not as good as I remember them when I lived in Metairie. The juice was good. But the meat didn't have that deep roast beef being cooked down. I ate it, but looks like I'll have to make another trip on day.
