We would make an annual trek to Cabela's to search out the best deals for hunting season. Clearly, the quality of the clothing has dropped significantly since the "merger". No more Bargin Cave and not much remains from the original Cabela's store. Sad

We stopped at Cabela’s enroute from Lafayette, LA to an overnight New Orleans trip. Our 3 year old who loves aquarium fish right now was beyond thrilled with the local fish exhibit!!! We arrived in the very early evening hours on a Thursday so the store was pretty quiet except for the excited chatter of a 3 year old little boy watching and searching for turtles, looking for a shark and being totally surprised by something he’s never seen....a scuba diver who was cleaning the huge tanks. We stayed for an hour and also looked at the wild animal exhibits but for now the fish still rank #1. We already love Cabela’s and now we’ve added another admirer. We picnicked in the car before continuing our drive to New Orleans. Originally, we were going to Bass Pro Shop which would have been out of our way a bit but the lovely hostesses at the Grosse Tete I-10 tourist information center (a must stop-beautiful facility and setting) told us about Cabela’s, saving us time and accomplishing our mission to see some big fish!

Not a huge menu but the burgers & fries are always hot and fresh.

Deep South Diecast

Not a fan of this "restaurant" if you would call it that
