Just awful. We spent lots of money. It was terrible. The seafood baked potato had ZERO SEAFOOD!!! It’s just bad. We were so excited to eat this and it was so bad. Makes me sad.

Unbelievable restaurant. Best queso I have ever had (came with crab and , best hush puppies, top 3 crab cake, top 3 grilled catfish. White chocolate pudding made by the owner’s mom was also unreal.
What an absolute find on our way through town.
Even if it’s an hour detour driving through on I10. We will be back.

In the past we have ordered a family size meal that we have picked up and brought home to eat. It has always been delicious and well seasoned.
We ordered the Seafood Queso today at lunch. It was very good.
We dined in today for lunch and ordered The Big Easy. Someone is not checking for quality control because the food was highly over salted to the point of almost being inedible.
The Big Easy came with a salad and soup. Both of those were delicious.
The food was served warm and we didn’t have to wait long. I just hope that they give more attention to the amount of salt that they use to season the food.
The restaurant appears to be clean and all of the staff members were very nice and efficient.
I’m not giving up on them yet but I hope that they do address the salt issue.
Child Picky Eating Rating: Child’s hamburger, 1 out of 10. (I tasted it and it was ok but I’m not a hamburger fan. Your picky eater may like it. This Picky Eater is Very Picky.)

The menu gave everyone many selections to chose from. We all thoroughly enjoyed the food and the hostess was very pleasant. I would recommend this restaurant.

My husband and I along with our 14 month old grandson stopped in today for lunch. It was a spur of the moment decision, we were passing by and I said it had been awhile since we’d eaten Philay’s, so let’s go eat there before his doctors appointment. I am SO glad we did! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted like family and were sat quickly. The ladies were so sweet to our grandson, talking about how cute he is and he was even given some fries to tide him over until the food got there. He’s a hungry growing boy for sure!! There was also an older couple seated next to us who were the nicest people. Our grandson LOVES food and lets it be known by how loud he NOM NOM NOM’s his food. He definitely kept them all entertained, they couldn’t get over how loud he was enjoying his French fries 😅😂
It will not be as long until we come back next time because of how welcoming everyone was today. Thank you for the yummy food and awesome service!!

Wonderful experience for mother's day. I took our family off seven and though the wait was longer than expected the service made up for it. We did not have a reservation and the restaurant seating is medium sized, if you have a large party call ahead. A true family owned and team business and the food is great with good portions.
Kid-friendliness: Our kids were sitting inside conversating and got a free plate of fries as an appetizer.
