The Sonny’s BBQ in Gonzales is one of the new design restaurant for Sonny’s. They have very good barbecue but also serve alcohol and have a drive through. My burned ends were tasty and my wife enjoyed a pulled pork sandwich. Our server was friendly and attentive and the employees were dressed for Halloween. A fun meal.
Sonny’s doesn’t disappoint. We aren’t spoiled for choice when it comes to BBQ in this part of the world, so when they built a Sonny’s within shouting distance of home, I knew it would be such a trip down memory lane back to growing up in central Florida and eating Sonny’s all the time with my best friend. The corn fritters with powdered sugar? The same as always. 🙂
I met a young man at Sonny’s Barbecue in Gonzales,La. His name is Nathanael Loupe and he took my order in the drive thru lane. He was so pleasant and kind; it was a breath of fresh air. In a world so chaotic right now, this young man exemplified; mastered what it should look like to be in customer service. I wish there were more like you Nathanael. Keep bringing sunshine to Sonny’s and your customers in the drive thru👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
