I went for the second time ever this morning and ordered the star cakes, absolutely the BEST pancakes I’ve ever gotten from any restaurant. They weren’t huge but they were THICK and fluffy and that’s just how I like them! The atmosphere is so peaceful and the service was great. I will be a new regular for sure!

Very cute! Im not normally in this area but I was running an errand and just looked up cafes near me. Easy to miss from the street, but its very homey inside! I just got coffee, great quality! Has feel-good country music playing on the radio, a kind barista, and a ton of seating! Very comfortable place!

I had a solo breakfast date at Starlight recently. The food was delicious and the coffee was very good. I had the breakfast quesadilla and an iced late. Great customer service! I will definitely be back!

Odd place, sits in a strip mall with other generalized businesses but does not really stand out as an eatery. Sign at the road, upon first glance, gives the look of being an old lounge or no tell motel. Inside, it looks like a small cafe in New Orleans that is in need of a good cleaning. Air vents had so much junk stuck to them, and the ceiling around them as well figured I would end up with some of it on my plate. Staff was pretty stiff, but food got out quickly. However, nothing was really hot to say it was being made at the time of order. My girlfriend and I got 3 different dishes and split them, Hampton Potatoes, Star Omelet, and a Star Cake. Hampton dish was good solely because the potatoes had a great flavor, Omelet was ok but nothing special, and the Star Cake was nothing I couldn't get from Aunt Jemima. As breakfast choices go, you can do better at a chain.

Called and ordered a large order of breakfast burritos & quesadillas on short notice for a last second meeting.
They handled it all seamlessly! The Food was excellent, service was top notch, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was calm and relaxing.
Owner personally greeted me, and assisted loading the food to my car despite the 110 degree weather.
If you’re looking for a bite to eat in Gonzales, I highly recommend the Starlight Cafe.

I took my son here for our Mother-Son day. He's 8 years old. He really enjoyed it. He loved the food and the atmosphere. He especially loved the comfy couch and paintings on the wall. The staff was so friendly and made him feel so special. He wanted to make sure we rated everything 5 stars! We will definitely be back. Thank you.

Worst breakfast we ever had. 30+. Grits were raw, egg was not done? Ham was a greasy mess. Please find another place to dine.

I wouldn't have never noticed this place if it wasn't for someone recommending it to me and I am so thankful they did. We were in town for a trip and stopped by and it was so comfortable and warm. The art was beautiful and they even have a little library inside. I plan on coming back many times to try more of the menu but the shrimp quesadillas and tomato and basil soup was delicious! I also tried their watermelon tea. It was delicious (warning for their flavored tea they use unsweet tea so just ask for it sweet) The quesadilla had shrimp, onions, bell peppers, cheese, and this sauce that was just delicious. The soup also came with this red tortilla (I think) that was cut into strips. We also got side fries that were so yummy. When we were done we placed a second order to bring some home. I honestly can't sing their praises enough!
