Had to take a grandson to urgent care and everyone was hungry. No one wanted McDonald's or any of those places so we stopped here. Went in , ordered even though the boys were very unfriendly we ordered. $33.00 and 10 minutes we got our 3 chicken jambalaya, white beans and what they called potato salad. My youngest grandson opened his and refused to even try it because it was a ball of mush! The oldest had a few bites of the jambalaya and he ate the beans but that potato salad was 🤮! I had 2 very small pieces of chicken in mine and potato salad was 🤮 as well!
Was really good a couple of years back , what happened? I don't see how someone hasn't gotten really sick especially from that raunchy soupy potato salad. Jambalaya was nothing but mush! Very very disappointed!

The pastalaya I got yesterday was old and spoiled. My child got sick after eating it. Do not recommend.

Walked in to place my order, first problem was the employee clearly stated to the other Employee they forgot to make tea so I guess nobody drinks tea today because they forgot and apparently it’s too late since they just opened to make tea.
I get my order, and I noticed that my gumbo is literally juice and a piece of sausage floating at the top, also my rice was slightly dried due to being used over again from yesterday, the lettuce was brown, I even asked other customers what their lettuce looks like, and it was all the same color. It was brown.

Friendly workers. But They certainly do not give you much for jambalaya $9. Rice was very mushy and bland. Nothing special. Chicken extremely dry with zero flavor. Sausage wasn’t very good, probably a cheap brand. Plus, $7 Potato salad wasn’t worth it. Potato salad used to be fantastic but apparently they changed their recipe…now it has no pickles, lacks salt and has a very funky almost spoiled garbage-tasting flavor. We will not be returning.

Always amazing food, I love the pastalaya! When I went they were a bit busy in the drive through so I went inside, it took them a couple minutes to get my order but it came out fast! Very friendly workers

Would have loved to get some tonight for dinner but the doors were locked an hour early and no one answered the drive thru even though workers were inside.

First time trying The Jambalaya Shoppe and I will return to get the gumbo, it had good flavor and was loaded with meat! The jambalaya I wish that it had the same flavor as the gumbo, but it did not. It was very bland and not much meat, the rice was a little mushy. The employee was super sweet and very friendly! I found a nice surprised in the bag, it was a cup of chocolate pudding dessert that was not expecting so that was a pleasant surprise and was delicious! Thank you so much!

I contacted the Gonzales location on short notice in hopes of getting a cooler of Pastalaya to feed a baseball team after an on the road game in Donaldsonville. The staff never seemed irritated that I had several questions or was giving short notice. I picked it up at 3:15 and served around 6:30 and it was still plenty warm for the boys. It was requested to feed 30. It fed 24 high school baseball players with bowls full, 3 coaches and about 8 family members for under $150. It was very moist and flavorful! We will definitely order again! ♡ Central Private Baseball!

The food here was good. I got the Shoppe #1 with the meat pies and gumbo. The gumbo was ok but the cayenne pepper does overpowering it. The jambalaya was okay. The salad that came with it was really small and just your basic stuff. The meat pies were the small ones you can get from Rouses and they were cold when I ate them. The pricing was a little bit on the expensive side. The online menu prices were incorrect. Still a good place to go.
