Everyone working there had a bad attitude. They should hire people who actually wanna work! Instead of being rude to paying customers.
The taste was good, but they give you 2 tiny things of rice for the gumbo for 2 and the gumbo was more juice than anything. Barely any sausage or chicken
I ordered a small bucket of chicken and sausage jambalaya. There only four tiny pieces of sausage in the entire bucket. Shameful to even have the word “sausage” anywhere in the name or on the menu.
I have been many Jambalaya Shoppe’s but this one in Gonzales is a disgrace to their name. The moron kids being allowed to run the place unsupervised is alarming. The food was cold and we were literally the only people in the place. They acted inconvenienced when we walked in. An older woman maybe in her late 20’s walked out later from the back we were leaving literally wearing pajamas. Gross, overpriced, rip off

The food here was awful. No seasonings or flavor in the food! Awful!! Only two options for salad dressing Italian and buttermilk dressing and the salad was a couple of lettuce pieces from a bag thrown onto a plastic plate.
Food was awful
Don’t eat here!!! This isn’t Louisiana food!

The gumbo tasted horrible, like it came out of can. The white beans were very very bland, not an ounce of seasoning. The best thing on my plate was the crawfish pies. The pastalaya was okay but not the best. Not the place to go if you’re used to seasoned Cajun food.

After being at the hospital all day, I called while being discharged to place my order. Order was placed, I was on my way. Was not told I had to be there at a certain time or that they were closing early. Get there at 8:55 to pay and pick up for my food and they had closed and wouldn’t let me get it. While they still had people inside, answered the phone and told me they thought I’d be there before I was. Thanks for that!

This is the second time in a row that I’ve gone through their drive thru, which wasn’t the problem. Both times there was very little meat in my bowl of jambalaya. Both times there was 1 slice of sausage and a couple strings of chicken. Basicly, I paid for a bowl of rice. Very disappointing!

Had a great time visiting Louisiana and getting some pasta and jambalaya. Both are outstanding not to mention the banana pudding. Whenever we visit Baton Rouge that is a place we love to stop and eat it.

Food there is always great. Portions are more than I can eat. Lots of meat in the gumbo and jambalaya. We'll definitely eat there again.
