Good atmosphere, workers were friendly, ingredients were fresh nice and clean.
The lettuce was, well, brown. It didn't affect the taste but was very unappealing. Asked the server there if there was anymore but was told it was cut fresh but the supplier was recently changed. Could be true. Not knocking them.
Atmosphere was great. The service was great.

Previously liked this place but these new hours are trash
Sorry, no pictures. It was a delicious salad I prepared with my plastic gloves dawned. I had to sort through the rust on the lettuce and a few other items.. The reddish-brown stuff that appears on lettuce. To me, the price is a little much considering I made it myself, and it's well over the cost of other restaurants that made the salad ? for me. At 18.11 with a 10 % tip for nothing and an unsweetened tea, I expect really fresh items.

I wouldn't know when arrived the doors were locked. Today is 2/12, the sign on the door says they will be closed 2/13
Love a good salad, especially when it’s hand crafted to be exactly what I want. It’s self service though, so sometimes I get nervous about people not being cleanly (there are gloves available for you to use while making your salad though)

The restaurant was very clean and the attendants were nice. I was very underwhelmed with the salad though. Some of the vegetables are not chopped well..like chunks of onion, bell peppers, etc. They charge by the weight of your salad so the chunkier your ingredients, the more likely you’ll add more to your salad so ingredients are proportionate. Could be a selling tactic or just a preference of mine to have my vegetables more thinly sliced so they spread evenly. I was really disappointed in their protein choices though. I selected the buffalo chicken at first. I thought the color of it was very odd—like neon orange. I tried it after it was already on my salad since they make you fix your own salad. It tasted disgusting but I’m not one to complain so I simply got a side bowl and put some of their herb chicken in there for me to pick off the buffalo chicken later. I also got their strawberry lemonade—that was the best part of my meal.I got home and even the herb chicken was nasty—tasted dry and very heavy on the garlic.I love salad and fell in love with Salata in Lake Charles. I wanted to give this place a try but I likely won’t be back. Food was not tasty or worth the money.
