The service, especially for being height of the holidays was great. Efficient and fast as it could have been for what we ordered. Atmosphere was great cozy decorations were cute, iconic, classic Christmas. It was the perfect start to thr night for seeing the lights down Huey P. Long. Over all the coffee was a 7/10. The pastries were an 8/10. It was an overall great experience especially for the holiday season.

Sage and the team at Amore Bakery and Cafe make truly incredible creations! We ordered a berry Chantilly cake with a special touch of white chocolate and it was both stunning, decadent, light and fresh and just all around scrumptious! It was the perfect centerpiece to a special celebration. Sage was super helpful and communicative in the ordering and pick up process. Highly recommend!!

Fantastic bakery and cafe! The sweet treats are incredible, and the frappe is blended so smoothly I don't think I'll ever be able to drink another frappe without comparing it to Amore. Amazing little spot in Gretna! ❤️

I had a piece of cookie cake and my friend had a cupcake. Then we had frappe’s. All were so good!!!
They've managed to get everything right at this beautiful bakery/Cafe From the moment you walk in the door past the gorgeous French chandelier, you know you've come to the right place. It has lovely French inspired decor coupled with divine pastries. Our meal was delicious and well presented and the staff were very pleasant and attentive. Kudos to them. It's a great place to meet a friend for lunch. We'll be back for sure.

My sister accidentally dropped her pastry while walking downstairs and the gentleman working behind the counter graciously gave her another pastry at no charge. We were so appreciative! We love it here. It's always so welcoming, and the atmosphere always makes me forget I'm in Louisiana... You MUST visit this bakery!!!

decent prices for very good desserts. i appreciate the time they take to make sure each one is presented nicely. there's a coca cola fountain, which made my day. be aware that while there is seating on the lower level, you need to go up stairs to order. i asked staff if the back entrance had a ramp by any chance and was told no. historic building, i get it, but disappointing.
