I drove from Audubon Park to the Wank to get the oxtail stew plus 3 sides. The oxtail is only served the 1st Tuesday of the month. It is sticky and melts in your mouth. The mac n cheese, brussel sprouts and seafood dressing were knocked out the park with flavor. This chef understands and utilizes spices and herbs like nobody I know. His staff is such a compliment to his food. They are knowledgeable and fully understand his menu. What can I say? Cross the river and take out some of his goodness!

I haven't eaten mac n cheese since I was a kid, eating Kraft Mac. I don't like Mac n cheese anymore till now. I walked in and for some reason ordered the five star Mac. I had to throw my hat down and pace around it was so good. Everything on the menu is amazing. The honey cornbread had me rethinking life.

Small, line service restaurant serving soul food. They have a daily menu. There's not a lot of seating, but that was ok, since we were getting our food to go. Also there was a lady selling cakes inside. I tried the praline pound cake. I could kick myself for only getting one piece. I didn't get any pictures of the food, only the lady selling cakes.
5 stars across the board! Every single bite was perfection in my mouth. I would especially recommend the brussel sprouts and mac and cheese. We are on vacation right now so we will be missing this food every day from now on. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Grease is always old when frying food. Every single I’ve ordered something fried it’s been old and smells. Also paid $3 for the fish and it was very thin. Gave this place several chances and I will not be coming back
