Locally owned, locally ran. Very mom & pop diner feel- small restaurant team is extremely attentive and hardworking. You can tell they really care about your dining experience! Plentiful gluten free bakery options (6 pc assorted pastry box is $18). Really especially enjoyed the fresh Sourdough bread!

Walked in and immediately welcomed! The atmosphere was cute and very homey. I’m a tea lover and I loved that they had fresh tea 🩷 The food was quick and awesome. I will definitely be returning.

One of the best places to eat in Gretna. Absolutely love this place. We eat here most Sundays. A small town, family-friendly restaurant with gluten free delicious food. The staff is friendly and welcoming.

Cute little spot to eat breakfast or lunch. If you have a gluten sensitivity or celiacs this is the place for you. GF bread was soft with a great texture. We bought a ton of goodies for a great price. If you don’t have any issues with gluten the place is still great to eat at.
We will return.

This place is incredible. It's been so long since I was able to enjoy more than one gluten free baked good choice at a time. Their biscuits, muffins, scones, and banana bread are so soft and fresh. I was visiting from Lafayette but would absolutely make that trip again just for another box.

The staff at the Hen House is amazing. Nancy J is always so friendly. The chef always makes my meal perfectly. I ate at another place done the street and the staff has nothing on the ladies at the Hen house! MJ , Nancy and the chef always are friendly and welcoming. Kudos!

I was introduced to this place by a colleague who eats gluten-free - it’s not a restriction for me. That day I got a grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup (both delish), but was jealous of her slice of quiche and salad and haven’t stopped thinking of them. Today I called ahead to check the quiche selection and I’m glad I did because there was only one slice left of the one I wanted and I asked if they could hold it back for me (they did). That quiche is the best quiche I’ve ever had and is generous enough to be two servings. I’m worried this might be the beginning of an addiction! And just standing there waiting for my food, the pastries look mouthwatering and I was sorely tempted. This is a hidden gem!

Another family friendly restaurant with great food choices prepared with TLC! The soups are out of this world. Salads are super fresh. Deserts are scrumptious! Hen House's server is always super pleasant and helpful. 5 stars all around!

This place is sooooo good! The best oatmeal I've ever eaten, hands down. Came back the next day for lunch. Amazing egg salad sandwich with avocado. And the service is great, too.
