I'm not sure what's going on here. The food's quality has greatly declined. The workers are rude and make fun of their customers. They mock passerbys who don't want to try their samples. I've seen this blatantly happen on 3 separate occasions.
Lizz F.
So they closed for a month and reopened recently and the food looked so good that I ended up trying it again! Much better than the past few times when shrimp fried rice meant literally shrimp and rice. Now you get real shrimp fried rice with peas and green onions and eggs and all that. The fried rice is still cooked to order and takes a few minutes, but they now offer some foods already prepared and kept warm in pans held in hot water. The veggies are delicious! I was very pleased with the food (not as awe-inspiring as my very first review, but definitely better than most), but now I'm less than satisfied with the staff. I ordered my food and it was waiting for me by the time I got to the register, but I waited a full 8 minutes to be rung up while the two kids at the register had a conversation in what I assume was Chinese, with no regard for the fact that I was standing at the register, another customer was trying to return her food, and two more guests were trying to order through the only other available employee. I considered leaving my food and walking away altogether, but I was hungry and an order for food is more or less a commitment. Then when the boy at the counter did ring me up the total for me fried rice came to over $20 and the girl pushed him out of the way to fix it. Sigh. My love-hate relationship with this place has come to a frustrated stand-off. Three stars it is!
