Sakura is a very special restaurant. The vibe is very chill and cheerful. The food, service and ambiance are all reminiscent of some of the best restaurants I've ever supported. The restaurant is run by adults, not children and they care deeply about their clientele.
After supporting a different sushi restaurant for about 17 years (Diawa Marrero) and being treated so dismissively of late I am elated to find such a gem....and on the West Bank!
By the way, I managed and owned restaurants for my entire career. I have a well tuned approach to running a business and it's obvious that Sakura shares and promotes that same excellence. Our server, Elisa, was a 10 out of 10. A joy to be taken care of by her.

I recently dined at Sakura sushi and hibachi and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting, with authentic Japanese decor that made me feel like I was in Tokyo The food was absolutely flawless the sushi was fresh and expertly prepared, the sashimi melted in my mouth, and the miso soup was rich and flavorful. The [signature dish, e.g., Wagyu beef, Unagi don, or Ramen] was a standout; every bite was a delight! Service was so good staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the cuisine. They even gave great recommendations for sake pairings! If you’re looking for top-tier Japanese cuisine with an elegant atmosphere, this is the place. 10/10 would recommend!

My first time eating at this restaurant & the food was fresh & delicious. The steak was tender & juicy. I think this is my new favorite hibachi spot. I ordered the hibachi imperial dinner, came with soup or salad & I added a side of noodles.

Just ordered hibachi shrimp from them on DoorDash and there was a baby roach in my noodles. Luckily I noticed it before I ate it. Absolutely disgusting.

First time here. Everything we tried was great except the fried rice. The chicken fried rice had an unfamiliar taste and didn’t have any egg or carrots & peas which I don’t really care one way or the other but just seemed plain. However it was moist. The hibachi chicken and shrimp was very good and the hibachi vegetables were awesome! The spring rolls were probably my favorite! My husband got the chicken Lo Mein and he was very happy with it. We will be back. Glad to find another good Restaraunt in Belle Chasse.

Wow!!! Superior Sushi Spot!
I had the Elmwood roll and some fresh Uni they had as a special. Unbelievable fresh and yummy. Jenny the owner and her staff are super attentive. Miki was my waitress. She explained a few specific questions I had about the menu, and one she didn’t know, she went to the sushi chef and got the answer for me. I would rate this find a 6⭐️ if I could.

Amazing service, delicious rolls, I arrived close to closing and was met with kind faces. Though I was fully prepared to not be seated, they welcomed me and satisfied my hungry belly. The roll was much larger than expected, almost like a burrito. I was amazed at the great work in such little time. I loved the location as well, next to my gym and my favorite coffee shop. If anyone is on the fence, please decide to try it and hopefully, like me, love it. Thank you to the people who helped me out and made my night an enjoyable experience :)
