I took my wife to eat here for our anniversary/her birthday. The food was incredible and service was great. I'd definitely recommend The Red Maple, we truly enjoyed it. We normally go into the city which is further away and spend substantially more money but, we decided to try something different this year and we were definitely happy about doing so.Vegetarian options: We didn't eat anything from the vegetarian options but my wife said there were definitely options for vegetarians.Dietary restrictions: Just tell your server about any diet restrictions and they'll be happy to let the kitchen know and are also able to point out options on the menu.

This place has old school Elegance. The busser Dylan helped us so much with all steps. Brett our server knocked it out of the park too. He took very good care of us. We had three of my very favorite things. Whenever somebody says where should I eat in New Orleans I say you have to try The Red Maple restaurant in Gretna it is worth the drive from The busy stuff. Absolutely nothing disappointed. They've really done some cute stuff with the patio outside. They've opened for lunch on Thursdays and Fridays which is such a treat! Wednesdays and Thursdays are steak nights and our 18 Oz ribeye was $39 with mashed potatoes and a house salad. Totally worth it. I didn't take a picture of the bread pudding because it's not warmed up yet. If I think about it I'll come add it.

Brett is incredible as always, but the food is always on point. If you’re from the westbank, no reason to venture across the river for home grown New Orleans food. If you’re on the Eastbank, I’d say it’s more than worth the trip to our humble side of the Mississippi.

This place was wonderful! It had every kind of NOLA fare you wanted available on their menu. The service was awesome. Manager stopped by a few times to ensure everything was great. And the ambiance is adorable. It has a cottage feel with a courtyard that is decorated and a great opportunity for a photo op!

I brought my 88 year old stepfather to lunch here last week to celebrate his birthday since this is one of his favorite restaurants and has been going there for years. When making the reservation, I wrote that we were celebrating a birthday and I would appreciate them doing something to acknowledge it. I would have been glad to pay for a dessert or whatever. I also mentioned it to the hostess when she was seating us. His birthday was never mentioned or acknowledged. I was very disappointed. I felt bad for him. The food was good and our waiter was great but they definitely dropped the ball on this. I'll definitely pick a different restaurant for future celebrations.

Food - great. Service - terrible. Our waitress was an older woman with curly black hair (wish I got her name) who had the nastiest attitude. I'd go back, but I'd make sure this woman wasn't serving us again. Ambiance - kind of loud, dimly lit. Could be a good place for a date night. For a very nice dining option, I'd definitely go with other places first.
