The hostess does not know how to do her job. We went in with an open mind since it was our first time there. We walked in she asked how many and we told her two. She said it would be 30 minutes. She mentioned the had a back patio so we went to grab a drink while we waited (there was no open seats at the bar). At this point we’re probably about fifteen minutes into waiting. I look at my phone and I revived a text message saying “ Your table is ALMOST READY at Toast Gretna! Please come to Host Stand to check in. You can Text 2 if you are On The Way or 3 if Canceling. Thank you! Enjoy <3“ I go to the host stand as she said it was too late i didn’t check in on time. That if I wanted to I could go back on the wait list. I was taken back because she had said 30 minutes not 10 minutes. At this point another lady come right behind me and had the same issue at this point we left.

I am very upset with place today. I come here often and have never had an issue. we have been waiting over an hour for a table which is fine but i went inside to order and pay for a mimosa at the bar while we wait and the lady told me I cannot order one because they are "too busy" The bar was not full. This place is usually on point and today it wasn't and I'm very disappointed as we brought people with us who have never been here... This is not the way to run a resturaunt. Hopefully things change

Food was great! Was seating right away for a group of 6!!! Service was spot on and quick as well. I ordered the Fried Crawfish Toast and it was to die for! Must have for sure! I would say my only confusion which I did not rate for was the “service fee” I assume this is a gratuity charge for our party size of 6. It was automatic for 20%. This should be updated on the receipt to Gratuity and not service charge. It was a tad confusing! Overall amazing place off the beaten path!

Amazing atmosphere and great place for kids out back. Super friendly staff. Definitely going to become a regular spot for my family
My first time going to this spot the food was awesome and our waitress was really nice. Even though the place was packed we didn't have to wait long at all for our food everything was fresh and made to order.
This was great! I've been to the Gentilly location many times so I figured I was in for a treat.
I got the chicken and waffles, as is my custom. There is just something about their cayenne butter that brings it all together deliciously.
My wife got the bacon onion gruyere crepe with a side of ratatouille which she very much enjoyed as well. The last time we went to the Gentilly location the ratatouille wasn't available as a side so she was particularly pleased to have it as an option here.
We finished it off with some aebleskivers. We always get the lemon curd and strawberry jam to mix them... Divine.
The staff was friendly, the restaurant was clean and had some cute holiday decor.
I'm glad to know that the Gretna location is great just like the Gentilly one!

Great place with great food. Their potatoes are a great spin on traditional breakfast potatoes. The omelets were big and filled with great ingredients. Cocktails were strong and delicious.
