After a long workday and all that fast food, I decided to stop and try some Louisiana cuisine. Of course, I didn’t pick the best restaurant, since there’s never any parking for trucks there. Anyway, I stopped at Tiger Truck Stop and ordered their Gator Bites. What I got were small deep-fried breaded balls filled with bean puree. I didn’t find any alligator meat in them at all. There were five little balls, and they cost ten dollars. In my opinion, that’s way too expensive — four dollars would’ve been fair.

Then I ordered the Steak Dinner. Their “steak” turned out to be a patty of ground meat fried on both sides. It wasn’t bad, but I was expecting an actual piece of meat, not minced. On top of that, they forgot my mashed potatoes, so I ended up eating the meat without any side dish. So, sorry, but I’m leaving you a negative review. I do hope you’ll improve and reach something better. Total cost $40

If your a truck driver an haven’t been home in weeks to enjoy a nice home cooked meal. This place will definitely satisfy. I’ve eaten at many restaurants in America located in or next to truck stops. By far Tiger Cafe is the best👍🏾🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

The food is very good but outrageously overpriced. Bayou Boil & Que is the place to go for food in Grosse Tete. Tiger restaurant is not what it used to be.

Is not a restaurant, it is another showcase type of food place like pilot.

Enormous patties in the burgers and melts. We ate in the timeout room.

This place has gone down the toilet ever since this restaurant was remodeled. The last three times I’ve been here it’s always been something new. First time, only one cook so can’t make anything except hamburger steak because he doesn’t know how to cook. Second time, can’t make any breakfast at breakfast time, lol what? Now can’t make anything except a bs po boy whatever. Why not have a different menu that says we can only make this at certain hours and time. Look at the menu, what does that say? Breakfast 24/7 but never can have any. None of the menu items available and then the lady wants to be rude because I called her out. Get your stuff together man, horrible excuse as a restaurant. Never coming back here again, not worth it.

If you’re a trucker, they have a big parking lot. I was able to get a spot around 10:00pm, and they have enough room
to maneuver and back. That being said the food was mediocre and pricey. I got two fried chicken wings at night and they had no seasoning outside of MAYBE salt. Ate the breakfast the next morning and the scrambled eggs were tough, the bacon was alright I guess, grits, meh. The eggs and grits definitely needed the salt and pepper packets that come with the plastic utensils. Also, the vibe was off and there was a lot of shadiness walking around the store (but, I mean they do have an on site casino so that’s part for the course I guess).

Quick stop. We got boudin eggrolls, corn nuggets, eggs with bacon, cones with Texas toast. The eggs were super silky. The rolls were interesting ( I never had boudin). I ate them with ketchup. It was a pleasant meal. This place is in a truck stop and had a casino next door.

Don't go by the menu that you see on here. Many of the items are no longer available. Plus there was a huge price increase.

Really good food if want something different! That was years ago. Today it's a counter service. No waitresses, menu is way smaller and crawfish only on Friday. Food is pricey but good. The alligator sausage was great. Sad the old place isn't what it used to be.

When this was a real restaurant it was great!!!Now that it’s gone corporate it just sucks!!!!The alligator bites were nothing but 5 balls of ground up mush!! Not actual pieces of meat!!I had catfish and shrimp. Small pieces of catfish and the shrimp were overcooked!!!They only serve crawfish ettouffee on Friday!! That was one of the best things about coming here. This the second and last time I will ever stop here. I understand needing to update and modernize for some growth, service and safety but this place has gone way too far. Another place that has been ruined by big business!!!!!!
