Subway in Hammond

“Wow—this pizza was honestly one of the most satisfying meals I’ve had in a while. From the moment I opened the box, the smell alone had me hooked: a perfect blend of melted mozzarella, freshly baked dough, tangy tomato sauce, and just a hint of basil and oregano. The crust was golden-brown and slightly crispy on the outside, but still soft and chewy inside—just how I like it. It had a nice char in places, like it had spent just the right amount of time in a proper stone oven.
The toppings were generous but not overwhelming. I went with pepperoni, mushrooms, and green peppers, and each bite was perfectly balanced. The pepperoni had those slightly crisp edges and a bit of spice, the mushrooms were earthy and soft, and the peppers gave it a nice crunch and sweetness. The cheese? Oh man, it was gooey and stretchy, with some beautiful bubbling and browning on top.
What really made it stand out, though, was the sauce. You could tell it wasn’t just from a can. It had a fresh, almost slightly sweet tomato flavor, with the right amount of garlic and herbs to give it depth without overpowering the rest of the pizza.
I ate way more than I meant to—no regrets. Honestly, if I could bottle the feeling of biting into that first hot, cheesy, perfectly constructed slice, I would. It was comfort food done right, and I’d order it again in a heartbeat.“
