“We stopped in on a Monday evening for a little something after dinner. We bought a simple vanilla waffle(not the bubble style) cone. The vanilla ice cream is pretty good, but no surprise, the waffle cone was the star. You could tell it was fresh since it was so crisp. And it was cooked to perfection! My only big issue was the music playing. It was so loud and obnoxious! They call out the orders when they're finished, but it was very hard to hear. I have no problem with some house music, but I believe it should be at a lower level to help the staff and customers communicate.“
“Decided to give this place a try randomly after brunch in terrytown. Was shocked at how many options there were for dessert. There’s popsicles in at least 30 different flavors, more options of ice cream than baskin Robbins, and more things you can order off the menu like bubble waffles, creative drinks, and mangonadas. Pleasantly surprised. I will be back.Kid-friendliness: Kids loved the bright colors and many options“
“The food was amazing. My first visit I had the Nutella milk tea 10/10. Then, I had the brown sugar milk tea, once again 10/10. Service was AMAZING !!! They make you feel so comfortable. Very very patient individuals, and the vibe is just there.“
“The food here was delicious. Real collard greens, real baked macaroni and cheese, real smothered turkey wings. This place was nice. And you get everything for like $12.00. And that tea. My goodness. Soul food at it's best. It's southern not Creole, not Cajun, but good ole country eating. Please don't change. I will be back again. She can cook all the way down. And the special of the day changes so you can figure out your favorite day or you can go everyday. Them turkey wings were fire. I am saddened that I just found out about this place. Oh and I haven't tried it yet, but she has a $1.50 breakfast.“
“The BEST (maybe only?) vegetarian muffuletta you'll get in the French Quarter. It's awesome but so are their other offerings. It does take a few minutes for the food, as they make everything too order but is so worth the wait.Vegetarian options: The muffuletta all the way!“
“It was our first time visiting and everything we got was delicious!! It seems they just opened at a new location. Inside was lovely and very inviting. Staff was kind and welcoming; answered any questions I had. The breakfast sandwich was packed with flavor and was very filling! The white chocolate raspberry latte was recommended to me by the staff and it did not disappoint! Loved it. Also got some espresso beans to-go for my espresso machine at home. But I’ll definitely be visiting again. Thank you! ☺️“
“Excellent food and service. Nice spot for young adults to have brunch or lunch. However, one feedback I would give is concerning the music. The music is loud and can cause hearing problems because it’s not distributed properly around the restaurant. The music is played on a large party speaker and makes it hard to have conversations with your guests. However, overall it's a nice spot to have brunch or birthday celebrations. FYI Very busy on Sundays!“
“I’ve been driving by Big Poppa’s for quite some time and finally decided to stop by for a late lunch and I’m so glad I did. I ordered the Big Poppa Buger and Sweet Potato Fries. The burger was definitely home made and was perfectly made with fresh lettuce, tomatoes and bacon. The Sweet Potato Fries were sprinkled with a cinnamon sugar and brilliantly served with a cream cheese dip. The server who took my order was also amazing and continued to check on me through my meal. I will definitely be going back!“
