A great spot for a light lunch or a seafood dinner. Reasonable prices and live music on some nights. They also use Doordash.

Phenomenal ALL around!! The most delicious Gumbo, Potato Salad and Bread Pudding i've ever tasted. Also, the customer service was amazing!! Highly Recommend this place!

From the reviews I was expecting a quaint local spot with home cooked food. Instead I got a not fully microwaved bread pudding, bland jumbo and marginal services. Our server actually brought us food while drinking from a can and eating.
Don’t waste your time. Would rather have done a five guys or similar!

WOW! BEST red beans and rice I've ever had, and the sausage that comes with it is also the best I've ever had. Peanut butter and chocolate pie for dessert is to DIE for, and guess what? That's right, it's also the best I've ever had! Would eat here for the rest of my life if I lived here!

Stopped in for lunch, had the roast beef poboy and seafood platter.
Poboy was wonderful with great sweet potato fries.
Seafood platter was just ok — the gumbo was really good, but the stuffed crab was imitation crab meat and the stuffed shrimp was raw inside.catfish was strong because they didn’t clean that belly vein. Mini crawfish pies, oysters, fried shrimp were tasty. However red beans were hard and no sausage to be found but a lot of rice.
Service was really wonderful, great atmosphere.
Will eat there again, now know what is great and what to not get.

My food was great. The waiter at my table was the worst!! We drank all of our drinks and he just stared at us and didn’t give us our drink refills . He never asked how we were doing, or introduce himself. The time that he was the nicest was the time of the tip. The cooks that brought out my food were nice. Other than our waiter this place was great.
Restaurantji Recommends
For a country town cafe that looks like it has been there for a long time i was expecting the flavor of Grandma cooking that was not the case and to top it off the check arrived before the dinner not nice
Food and service needs to improve just my suggestion

We had seen this restaurant on the show Road Food on PBS. Since we are staying in Houma for a few days decided we would check it out. Could not have been happier with the food or service. We had the Shrimp Gumbo, Red Beans and Rice, and a side of fried Okra. Everything was fantastic. But for me, the potato salad was maybe the best I have ever had at a restaurant, and I am super picky about potato salad. Our server Rachel was incredibly friendly. You won't be disappointed.
