“My cookies were amazing! Everything tasted really great. My only suggestion would be to ask the employees to work on greeting people as they walk in and acknowledge them before calling out their name for their order because I walked in and stood at the pick up counter for about 2-3minutes before they called my name out for my order. There was about 4-5 workers but no one greeted or acknowledged me prior.”

“Every time we order firehouse subs using asap, the order is messed. Today it was the kids drinks were listed as included but weren’t. Last time we ordered the kids cookie was not included. It’s little things but sheesh. The last time I picked up our food from the store, the cashier/ server argued with me that the drinks were in the bag but when I opened the bag, no drinks. Who puts drinks in a bag anyways? The subs are amazing but sheesh”

“Just stopped here for the first time and got a late breakfast. Had Jared as our waiter who, after being told it was our first time, warmly welcomed us to the Bayou County Cafe and walked us through the menu. When we fumbled though a few things he repeated it back to make sure he understood us and that we got the right things.

The food was amazing. The biscuit!!!! When they set my plate down I thought it was two biscuits stacked up. NOPE! It was just one tall fluffy biscuit! So soft and buttery. The grits too. I dont like grits much but they came with the meal so I got em. I would order them on my own if they didnt come with the meal. So creamy and perfect!

The atmosphere is very calming and homey. Feel like your back at mommas eating a meal. Cute lil store too with shirts, sweets, jewelry, and more.

“I treated my husband and our children out to eat for our anniversary. The food was delicious and our waitress was attentive and polite, so I want to be fair about that. Unfortunately, the way a situation involving a homeless man was handled completely overshadowed an otherwise pleasant meal for me and my family.

The man approached our table and asked whether either of us had a lighter and possibly a cigarette. My husband gave him a cheap lighter he had in his pocket. The interaction was brief, and the man did not threaten us, harass us, or otherwise interfere with our meal. We were perfectly comfortable helping him with something so small.

What bothered me was what happened afterward. The man had already left the restaurant, after which the waitstaff and several customers began loudly gossiping about him in an extremely degrading and dehumanizing way. I understand that restaurant employees have to deal with uncomfortable situations, and I understand that customers may not want to be approached. If someone is being aggressive, threatening, or refusing to leave, that's a completely different matter.

But that's not what I witnessed here. What I witnessed was a vulnerable person asking for something small, leaving without causing us a problem, and then being spoken about as though he were somehow less deserving of basic human dignity.

I don't expect a restaurant to solve homelessness, and I don't expect employees to allow people to harass their customers. I simply think there's a compassionate middle ground between having legitimate concerns and treating a homeless person like a criminal for merely existing in the restaurant. Again, the food and our waitress were both great. I just left feeling deeply uncomfortable with the way this particular situation was handled.”

“After reading all the negative reviews we almost didn't come here. I'm really glad we did . Tons of flavors. We got the s'mores and the Carmel cheese cake. Also got a chocolate and a blueberry muffin 2 cake pops a fruity pebble and a cosmic brownie. It was all great.
