“I went there today for the 1st time, the food was great! I had onion rings & shrimp wrapped in bacon and both were delicious. I recommend The Shack not only because of the great food, but the staff is amazing. The hostess was friendly and had a nice positive attitude, which is always nice to see walking in. The servers all seemed to be enjoying their job and moving around quickly. Our server Kelsi was honestly the best server I have ever had at any restaurant. She was very patient when taking our order and answered our menu questions with a smile. She addressed our table respectfully. These days it is rare to find a server that does not want to address everyone as “baby” or “hun” or “love” and in my opinion that is tacky so thank you for that. She didn’t constantly bother us by asking us if we need anything, instead she was attentive and realized when we needed refills. She did check to see if we needed anything but it wasn’t excessive, I really liked that about her. All of our food was correct, our area was nice and clean and service was perfect from start to finish. Kelsi if you see this, know that you are doing a great job and you are appreciated for your hard work.“

“Poor customer service. Requested to speak to kitchen manager and she never came out. Went for brunch and asked for fish and grits instead of shrimp and grits and was told I couldn't get that. I asked for the price of a filet of fish and a dude if grits. once told I ordered that. When I got the bill, I was charged for the most expensive fish item on the menu. 26 dollars for a piece of fish and a side of grits. There were better ways for this to happen. I wasn't informed of the cost prior to receiving the bill. I definitely would not have ordered that. I asked for the kitchen manager, Amy Daigle, she never came out. She instead sent someone else, Miranda, who said there was nothing she could do...... sad.“
