Based on the reviews, Taquería El Pasito is the only good place on the west side of Houma. The food is low key great, with handmade tortillas, sopes, chilaquiles, and tres leches. The food is delicious and consistent, always fresh no matter the time of day. It is a five star quality, casual authentic Mexican food venue. The Bistec Mexicana is a personal favorite, different than regular street tacos. The hibiscus drink is good, and the homemade green salsa served with chips is zesty and garlicky. The customer service is the best, and a bilingual person is usually available to take orders.
