We’re from Houston and had an awesome experience here. Our waitress Larke was super kind and gave great recommendations — the Gumbo was incredible. We came back the next day because of her service and the food. She even gave us tips for New Orleans. We’ll be back!
Butterfly Shrimp were very good. I didn't realize the fish was thin fish. It was heavily battered. I thought I was eating batter instead of fish. Menu should state thin fried fish. I would have ordered something else. Service was good. I had been here before but never ordered fish. Will come back in the future.
Saturday night in large outside area is pleasant and most appropriate for large groups. A live band provided good entertainment, but the volume was a little on the loud side. The softshell crab sandwich was delicious, as well as the Half and Half platter of fried oysters and shrimp. The pepper jack boudin balls were okay, but I'd try one of their other options.
