The stuffed jalapenos, fried crabs claws, cheese stick appetizers were delicious and cooked perfectly!! The boiled shrimp, crawfish and snow crab cluster were all boiled to perfection. Well seasoned (but not overly seasoned) and really easy to peel. Totally satisfied with our decision to eat at The Shack tonight. They never disappoint!! Highly recommend them for fried or boiled seafood.
Whole fried flounder was very dry, like it had been fried 2 times. Not seasoned very well. But, the chicken and sausage gumbo and red beans were good and well seasoned.

This is the best seafood restaurant in Houma. Food is on point. The wait staff is pleasant and the kitchen puts the food out in a timely manner.

Very loud, it was difficult to have a conversation and hear the other person, even when yelling. The seafood gumbo had a decent flavor (not great) and lots of shells and was served just above room temperature. Additionally, almost everything on the menu is fried, so not much variety there. But the beer prices were good, so there is that...

My server Kelsey was great! Polite and fast. The food speaks for it's self and you can't beat the prices.
It was ok. Nothing to get excited about

Had lunch here & not only did food suck, service did too!! Food tastes old & bland, wouldn’t recommend!!.
My wife and myself was therexfor lunch. I had the plate lunch which was smothered pork chop, peas, rice and gravey, with a side salad. My wife had the crab balls and gumbo. The crab balls were too spicy. The lunch was very bland the rice and gravey had no taste to it. Like all they did was mix water and gravey together. The pork chop to had no taste to it. Then she ordered the cheese cake which just as much as my plate lunch the lunch was $12.00 the dessert was $10.00. At the time we debating to try the Shack or go to A-Bears Resturant. Now I wish we would have gone to A-Bears. It may be a very long long time before I go back to the Shack.
WHAT A MENU! Great food. Great Service. Family style and after your first time there, they remember you like family.
My guys knew everyone there. Great place for networking.

We had a party of 11. They were very accommodating. Most of the food was very good. Those who ordered the gumbo do not recommend it.
Parking: If you get up front parking, it is great! The back parking is rather dark at night.
