Ribs were dry. Brisket was all fat. Chicken was dry. Not worth the money

Never eat at this place again.Beans were over cooked as well as the macaroni was way over cooked. And the chicken was so dried I thought for sure to get choked with. Told the woman behind the counter, about the food being over cooked. So she said I can get you some to go. But what she got me was the same over cooked food. Never again and not for that kind of money.

First time here but won't be my last. Service was pleasant and everything looked and smelled really good. I took it home which is almost an hours drive so you'd expect some degradation of flavors. I noticed the fries weren't amazing after that ride but I've never had any make a trip like that and still be as good as they were fresh. But the brisket burger was still spot on even after the trip. Good flavor from the bacon and brisket, burger wasn't dry. Next time I'll dine in so I can get it fresh and hot and take some pics.
To the staff, nice work keep it up.

Nice little stop. Had 3 meat BBQ plate w/ beef brisket, ribs, and chicken. Potato salad for sides. Was enough for me and hubby to share for lunch. Was good.

The food was incredible. The gentleman that delivered the food was friendly- the service was a bit slow but okay.
Green beans and baked beans were to die for. A lot of restaurants only focus on the mains but not the sides. This place got the right balance down. The beans were not sweet and it have just the right kick.

Me and my wife loved this place until last night, we ordered $60 worth of food and started throwing up after. My wife is currently on the toilet spewing out whatever nasty bbq is left in her tummy. It was as if the love behind the closed doors have vanished and the soul left the food.
What’s the purpose of “soul food” if there is no soul left in the food?
Please be careful eating here, I do not want anyone else getting sick like we did

I've been to the other location but drove out here to try the #1. Nice guy working the register, he said the brisket was their best thing which I was extremely skeptical about. Decided to give it a shot and tried 3 meat plate with brisket, ribs and pulled pork. I gotta be honest here, their brisket is trash. By far the worst thing on my plate was the brisket, with the mac and cheese a close second. Their ribs are very good though, almost good enough to redeem the brisket. Pulled pork was super dry, honestly literally anywhere else would have better pulled pork. Maybe I just caught them at a bad time, but don't recommend something to me if that's the case. They have a pretty good house BBQ sauce and baked beans. Macaroni and cheese tasted like buttered pasta, not recommended. They have orange crush on tap which is another redeeming quality. I'm not a brisket expert but I'm fairly certain they're cheating by doing a short smoke time and finishing in an oven or something. Very little pink ring showing, pretty sure they're cheating us. Anyways, I don't think I'd ever drive out here again for a 2nd chance. The ribs are good tho, sorry for the harsh review but this is BBQ and you're way too close to Texas to be calling this brisket. Bathrooms were grimey.

Independence location is turning into a joke! Ordered $40 worth of food got home and missing a quarter of what we ordered! Called to see if a partial refund could be given due to the drive from our home and was treated very rudely by the ill mannered kids they’ve got working the place!

I was tired and hungry so I didn't take pictures but boy was that food good. I got the 3 meat dinner. Brisket, sausage and chicken, side salad. Big piece of toast. It was delicious. I didn't even use bbq sauce because it tasted great like it was. I love this place. And the teens working there were friendly too. Great small town atmosphere. I'll be back!
