Idk if I take friends here. Maybe a last minute place with no other choice... and it's a hard maybe. I know prices have gone up, everything is getting expensive- but come the fk on! $7.50 for a one scoop of guacamole and a small bag of old chips. Not worth it. If the guacamole would of been of the hook I would agree, but I've tasted better from beginners. The burrito was more than $10 and I could have gotten a bigger burrito at a taco stand for that price. To top it off I paid $17 for chilaquiles, with meat of course. But dang for that price I was expecting more meat or a bigger plate! And the taste... nothing special. Prices are ridiculous- only because it's a taco stand with a restaurant front doesn't mean that it should be that pricey.

I'm so glad I finally came here. I was a bit disappointed that this location doesn't serve alcohol -- some others do -- but I soon realized it didn't matter because the food itself is worth the visit. I had the queso birria special and it was to die for. I wasn't a huge fan of the nachos with carne asada (not much meat on the plate) but everything else about the meal was perfect. No indoor seating, so bring a jacket if you tend to get chilly.

Finally found a hole in the wall Mexican place in the Hollywood area that isn't mediocre but stellar. I guess a lot of places like this get run out of central locations because of sky high rents. And so the mid city and Hollywood areas get left with hyper trendy, subpar Mexican spots to eat at. I felt like something cheesy so I got the quesadilla with al pastor. The pork was very tender with the right amount of sweetness from the pineapple. The pork tasted like pork and I could see bits of real pineapple. Pork had the perfect amount of char and seasoning. Overall I had a satisfying, excellent Mexican lunch and will definitely be back.

This place sucks. You can't mix your meat when you buy multiple tacos. I wanted asada and Al pastor tacos, they only let you stick to one type of meat. As a paying customer I should have the option to pick and choose the type of meat I want. Better off at taco trucks food sucked. Not sure why people come here my first and last.

I ordered mole chilaquiles with grilled vegetables, avocado, and birria through Postmates delivery. Perfect amount of spice and flavors are divine. Don't mind the brown avocado. Betting that's just due to the heat during transit, but it still tastes good!

Great service! Great food, fast service.. I order the chilaquiles in molcajete sauce , good but a little to much salt.. highly recommended..

I've ordered from here many times since I live nearby and it's very hit or miss. Lately more of a miss. The burrito size has shrunk over time and the portions of meat are hardly present inside it. The ingredients taste like low quality ingredients and have a strange lingering after taste. Their prices are comparable to other Mexican spots but terrible for the quality of food. Service: If you get the guy at the window he is always nice but the younger girl's service is terrible. She always seems apathetic. I've had some orders go wrong which is not a huge deal but that girl gets sassy if you ask them to correct it. I want to like this spot but the inconsistency of food and service makes it difficult to go back.

Found this place from the reviews and it doesn't disappoint. I'm gonna have to come back and try more of the menu!

Overpriced for the quality of the food, burrito 80% rice, 10% beans, hardly 10% meat. Then food was cold, chips stale and they forgot to enclose half of my order. Never ordering from this place again. 2 tacos, 2 burritos, a sodas $40. Not worth even 20!!!! Save yourself from the disappointment this place is.

I have no idea why this place has good reviews. Queso birria extremely dry, flavorless, soggy, and literally little to no cheese. The consume taste like water with salt and almost no flavor. My mother in law got the enchiladas it looked horrendous. I mean I couldn't even tell where the enchiladas were. They had zero sauce on it and covered with beans everywhere and flavorless rice. Oh my lord. NEVER ordering from here again. Save your money and time and go somewhere else. This place clearly doesn't care much about the food they are handing out.

MY FAVORITE PLACE TO GO FOR MY CABEZA BURRITO my boyfriend and i come here maybe once a week because we love it so much the tortilla they use just has the most amazing texture and soaks up all the wonderful juices. cabeza is so soft and tender. my boyfriend has gotten every type of meat but i think his favorites are the pollo and asada. we bring everyone here who visits us and every time it's a grand slam

OMG! Just had some asada tacos here and they were SOOOOO GOOD! The tortillas tasted fresh the meat was perfectly seasoned and tender. Service was great! Definitely coming back here to quench my taco cravings! Parking can be tricky so if you can take someone to do the ordering.

Food here is sooooo good. Web site is excellent, with helpful photos of most dishes. It works well on mobile which made ordering extra easy. Both tacos and burritos come served only with the sort of toppings you'd want. It makes ordering so easy when you don't have to specify a list of things to leave off. I had the carnitas, asada, and cochinita pibil tacos. How much I like a Mexican restaurant is usually directly related to the carnitas tacos and these were delicious. Servings are two very meaty mini tacos for each. Really impressively high quality meat, probably cooked extra low and slow for first cooking because it is lean when eating but cooked with enough fat for great flavor. My dining companion loved the grilled chicken and al pastor burritos so much they ordered another burrito to go. Only three outdoor dining tables but oddly pleasantly peaceful for late night dining. And food came out fast this time of day. Bonus points for cool skeleton mural.

The best little spot in the neighborhood is El Zarape-- yum. The food is fresh and tasty, and made to order. And yes, sometimes you have to wait a few. If you are super rushed, order in advance. But super nice people work there, and an interesting diverse crowd is good for people watching while you wait on their sweet outdoor patio. The one down side is parking can be challenging, but if you are from LA, you will find a way to good Mexican food!
